"I'm not kidding, it's really tiring." Seungcheol huffs, as I blankly stare at him. I didn't know whether he was only faking it for the camera or if the age was really getting to him but seeing as how water wasn't enough for his breathing to be steady means that he was actually wasn't kidding about the course being extremely tiring.
I gulped, handing my water bottle to him. "You're up against Jeonghan though." I look at him with a questioning look. "And how do you know that?" I raised my eyebrow, as he only smiles at me. Knowing how competitive the other group were, I don't think they'd easily let us know about their plans. But Seungcheol here seems to know about it.
"Nevermind." I shake my head, as I walked off to greet my competitor for the race. I wasn't going to lie, I felt nervous seeing him slyly smirk at me like that. "I have a plan." Jeonghan reaches his hand out to grasp my arm, before quickly pulling me next to him.
"Let's try to pull each other back." Jeonghan suggests, whispering it to my ear so that the members wouldn't hear our discussion. "For the sake of the show?" I ask, as he only stares at me. "Up to you to choose the reason for it." He shrugs, not really answering my question.
"Should I hold back?" I slowly ask, as he turns to me, smirking. "Don't hold back." He nods, as I smile, already knowing that this was going to be a messiest round. After all, the most cunning member and the most competitive member of the group had come to play.
"...You better not regret saying that, hyung." I smirk, challenging him. He raised his eyebrow at my boasting, scoffing.
"Alright, let's see what our participants are feeling right now." Jihoon passes the microphone over to Jeonghan, who wraps his arm around my shoulder, making me wonder what nonsense remark he was going to spit out this time.
"We'll have a fair game." Jeonghan proudly says onto the microphone, making me snort at how much he was lying. This was definitely not a fair game. "And how about you, Mr. Kim Yonhae?" Passing the microphone onto me, I blurted out a simple message. "I'll be sure to beat Mr. Yoon Jeonghan in this fair game of ours." Making sure to call him formally, he smiles, nodding.
"Okay, we'll see about that fair game that you mentioned." Jihoon hosts, stepping away from us. Hearing loud cheers from my team, I sent them a few hearts, to which they reacted nicely to. I laughed at them, wondering how they could have so much energy.
We both get ready by the starting line, my heart beating against my chest. I know very well that I was going to get hurt in this round, but I was ready for that, and I'm not backing down without a damn fight. I'm winning this for our team.
"Ready... Set.... Go!"
Hearing the whistle, I quickly ran off, not bothering to check my opponent's location. Just as I was about to climb over the obstacle, I felt a hand grip on my sweatshirt, quickly pulling me down. Huffing, I look up to see Jeonghan with a grin. Quickly getting up, I passed by the obstacle before grabbing his sweatshirt, doing the exact thing he did to me. As he fell down, I managed to get past a few obstacles with ease, managing to largen our distance.
I ignored Jihoon's commentary, wanting to focus on our 'fair' game. I panted, somehow getting stuck at a certain obstacle. Jeonghan manages to catch up to me, as he pushed me aside, almost making me fall off the course. Nearly cursing him, I got up immediately and trailed behind him.
Quietly muttering a string of curse words under my breathe, I saw how Jeonghan was having trouble with going through one of of the obstacle, as my eyes lit up at the opportunity. I grab his lower torso, pulling him out of the obstacle's hole, making him glare at me. "Yah!" He complains, as we both fell down from the force.
