Though our time together was short
It was memorable
Memorable enough to teach me a lesson
Memorable to confirm I moved too fast
Letting you go was the hardest thing
But was harder?
Letting you pull me down
Letting me feel like for me to be enough I needed ur validation
Making me downgrade my standards
Letting you go was hard
It was draining
It was a battle to let myself know you weren't there
It was a battle looking at you having the time of your life
Letting go of you was painful
But forgetting you was backstabbing
As I wish you the best I set out on a journey of my own
I set out to find my why
I set out on a journey no one knew I was on
I set out so deep Iost myself
I set out to change everything
But letting you go started that journey
Letting you go
