The number on the scale
The lower it gets
The lower i set it
The harder i work
The more miles i run
All for the number on the scale to go down
All for the number that holds no value
All for the compliments
I lost myself
Each day became a battle
Go lower the voice in my head said
Go lower
Go lower
Make the scale lower
I broke
I broke myself
I broke healthy relationships
All for the number on the scale to go lower
I had enough
I was tired
Tired of the number on the scale holding value
i wanted to be stronger than the number on the scale
So i became stronger than the number on the scale
The number on the scale no longer holds value
