Babes's POV

"I can't believe that they just believe her. It's crazy isn't it?" Nash scoffed gripping the wheel.

I nodded, not really paying much attention to his words.

He shook his head, "I can't believe we just let our son get in the same car as her."

"Kole and Matt are both in the car." I say rolling my eyes.

"But still. I don't want him near her. And after this, when everyone sees the game that Beth is playing, he won't. None of us will. If Kole and Matt are dumb enough let her play a part in their life's, that's their problem."

"Whatever." I shrugged.

"Whatever? Did you just 'whatever' me?" He scoffed

"I did." I answered with a nod.

He scoffed once more, "Don't be a bitch."

I furrowed my eyebrows, looking towards him, "Excuse me?"

"Don't get an attitude when I'm talking about the someone who is putting my son's life on the line!"

"You're overreacting! If Beth had something planned-"

"She does!"

"She wouldn't do anything now anyway! It's obviously not the right timing, otherwise, she already would have!" I argued. "And don't call me a bitch, because I'm not your bitch!"

"Oh, so we're breaking up now?"

"Ha! So that's it." I shook my head. "When I said I wasn't your bitch, I meant I wasn't a bitch in general. Are you going around addressing me as your bitch, Nash? Nash, his bitch, and their son, all one big happy family!"

"Please! You call me names too!"

"Like what?"

"Stupid, you call me stupid all the time." He explained, waving a hand in the air as we turned the corner.

"I call you stupid, when I'm joking. That is never how I address you!"

"You're so fucking annoying!" He exclaimed, "I swear just your voice! It irritates the hell out of me!"

"Fine!" I said crossing ny arms, "I won't talk to you anymore."

He sarcastically chuckled, and his smile was just as sarcastic, "Alright, we'll see how long that last."

I looked out the window pretending not to hear him.

He thinks this is a joke. He thinks I'm not serious, but watch, he'll go insane without me talking to him, and I won't. In fact, I'm satisfied with the thought of not speaking to him in the moment, he's being completely dramatic about Beth. There is no proof at all that she's done anything. He needs to accept that he made a stupid decision by being in a gang when he was younger. But nope, Nash is perfect. Nash is always right.

We all sat in Hayes' room. Skylynn and Wesley were in her room playing, and Tracy was doing whatever.

"So you didn't see anybody?" Cameron asked me.

"No." I answer. "I didn't have any reason to look outside until I heard gunshots, but of course by then I wasn't going to look out the window. So I covered Wes up with my own body, and when the shots stopped that's when I made the call."

"To who?" Nash asked.

I blinked, still looking at Cameron like I didn't hear Nash.

"Babe." Cameron said so I would answer.
