Kirishima's POV

"Dumb fucking bitches. Just wait till I get my hands wrapped around their throats and fucking suffocate them!"

"What are you mumbling about over there?" I asked my boyfriend, who currently just got home from work and was proceeding to take his shoes off. Actually, let me rephrase that, practically exploded his shoes off.

Great, that was the third pair this week, he seriously needs to stop using his quirk when he's angry. He practically destroys everything he touches!

Katsuki quickly looked up at me before picking up whatever was left of his shoes and throwing them away in the kitchen and then very gracefully plopped down on the couch beside me.

Hint, Hint, it was not graceful.

He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me on his lap and then stuffed his face into my shirt.

"Kat?" I asked, now getting a little worried by his silence. "What happened at work?"

I felt him sigh before pulling back slightly so he could look up at me. "Damn bastards kept asking about Deku all day today."

"Oh." I said, now knowing it wasn't something deadly serious. "Yeah, reporters have been following me around all day asking for info on Midoriya's mental health. Ever since we took him shopping and other people saw us together, they really have been stomping all over us about it." I said, knowing exactly what Kat was referring to.

When we took Midoriya shopping a few days ago, a lot of people saw us together and since no one has seen him, except during work, they thought we would be the perfect people to get some juicy details from about the grieving hero.

Makes me sick, really. I mean, Midoriya just lost the love of his life not even a full month yet and people only care about the gossip. In other words, what's going on with the pro behind closed doors.

"Yeah, like we'd ever fucking tell them anything," Kat mumbled.

"Todoroki said he was getting bothered too, it's because Midoriya hasn't been seen in the public a lot, except on duty and even then he's been steering clear of anything relating to Uraraka or the media for that matter," I said, relaying what Todoroki told me only a night prior.

He had called, thanking Kat and I for getting Midoriya out of the house, even if it was to just go grocery shopping.

Apparently, his every move is being watched since the incident, and so even the smallest change has been brought to the attention of reporters and they are quickly getting word around about anything new happening to the number one hero.

"Have you talked to him since we went to his house?" Katsuki asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.

I shook my head. "No. He's been working the last few days. I ran into him today with a villain, but it didn't take long before Midoriya had him pinned and handed him over to the police. I tried talking to him afterwards, but he darted out of there pretty fast, something about needing to get to the other side of town for patrol."

Kat scoffed. "He's working himself to the bone. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets exhausted enough that a villain will actually take him down."

His statement made me worry. He is definitely not wrong. Midoriya is constantly pushing himself to the limit. The amount of villains he's locked up this week alone is tremendous, but it's very worrisome. I know it is our job to take down villains and keep people safe, but Midoriya is doing it to an extreme that he really is going to get himself hurt.

If only there was a way for us to help him take more of a breather, get him back in the same routine he was before. Even before Uraraka's death he has always stretched himself too far, but the way he is going at it now, it's going to kill him. We need to slow him down.
