"A ticket to San Francisco, please."
"That'll be 88 dollars" I give the money to the woman "The flight is in 4 hours."
"Thank you! Have a good day." And with that, I walk away.
There weren't many people, so it was easy to find a seat. I sit down and dig into my bag to find my earphones. I don't have many things in it. Only a little amount of money, my phone and its charger, earphones and an old sketchbook and a few pencils. I've had this bag for like 5 years now and it's my favourite. It's beautiful f/c coloured and I embroidered my favourite quote on it.
"Rule #1 on life.
Do what makes you happy."Eventho, it's my favourite, I haven't lived by that before. Or at least, not always. You see... I always lived by what my parents said. They never let me play any kind of stereotypical "boy" sports. Only let me wear black when I was on my period, but even then I never could wear full black. They never let me go out. Whether it was a birthday party or an actual party. They didn't let me do things I dreamed of. They didn't let me live my life.
The only things they allowed were drawing, dancing, singing and reading. But only drawing became my passion. It felt like that was the only thing I could express myself. It still feels like that. Most of the time I was drawing something I wanted to do but I couldn't. Or some of my fears. Or just to escape reality.
"Excuse me?" said a deep voice that brought me out of my thoughts. "Do you know where're the restrooms?"
I look up at the man. He has brown hair and eyes. He's quite tall, around 6'4. He's wearing a dark blue hoodie and black jeans with black vans. He also has some rings on his fingers.
"U-Uhm- I don't k-know..." I say kind of embarrassed. I hear him let out a giggle.
"Never been here?" He asks as he sits down next to me.
"Nope. To be honest I've never been on a plane before." I don't know why I told him that, it just came out.
"Oh! Are you afraid?"
"Just a little." I murmur under my breath.
"It's okay. There's nothing to be scared of!" He smiles at me. 'Oh my god' I couldn't help but smile back "Where are you going?"
"You really like making small talks, don't you?" I let out a giggle.
"Not normally. I'm just really bored and I saw you alone, so I came here."
"Ahaaaa. So you weren't looking for the restrooms?"
"Nope." I shake my head and smile.
"San Francisco. That's where I'm going." I look at him.
"No way! Me too!"
