Lia~
I stare at the title of the chapter, How to kill the tribrid. Never in my life did I think that I could be killed because everyone always told me I was immortal, well everyone who knew. According to Clarrisa, I'm apparently a bridge between species and will be live forever. Below the title is a picture of a dagger and, even just touching the page, I can almost feel the negativity and evil radiating from it. The dagger itself didn't yet exist, it had to be forged and then destroyed. The weapon was apparently too powerful to exist for longer than needed and it would affect the one who wielded it if that person held it for too long.
According to the book, the dagger had to be made of the purest of silver and coated in a lethal mix of wolfsbane, witch hazel, and vervain. I shudder at the mention of each herb. Wolfsbane, vervain, and witch hazel respectively were the weaknesses of each species and a big enough dose could kill even the strongest of warriors. I could never be killed by it but it could weaken my strengths to that of a human. I page further and read the next step in forging the dagger. I would never want to create it but I am rather curious. It had to be enchanted by a very powerful and old witch and the enchantment had to be done using...
Dark magic
I shudder, slamming the book shut and burying it among my own books, using my magic. Witches were forbidden from practicing dark magic and no witch would risk punishment from the Council of Species. Even if they were stupid and brave enough to risk it, none would want to because dark magic was extremely dangerous, it didn't just affect your physical being, it endangered your soul. "teleporta" (teleport)
I teleport myself to my bedroom and throw myself on the plush soft pink bedsheets. If I had to describe my bedroom in one word I'd say perfect and honestly if I could spend every day in here, I would. The walls are soft pink and sage green with drawings of birds and butterflies covering every wall, there were plants everywhere and even a cherry blossom tree right in the middle stretching up to the second floor. The first floor of my bedroom consists of my four-poster bed, my walk-in closet, desk right across my bed, with the television mounted above it, and plush white and pink carpets covering most of the dark wood floor. The second floor, however, is my favorite. If you walk up the spiral staircase you'd find an open expanse with a huge skylight and the top of the tree in the huge hole in the middle of the floor. The room is in the shape of a dome and the walls are covered in either windows or pictures or designs. There were couches against the walls in a half-moon shape and even two mini-fridges and a huge TV. All in all this place is paradise.
I start drifting off to sleep, thinking about everything that's happened over the last few weeks, my shift, Henry, Lucas, that girl, everything. My mind is working overtime but still, I feel my body shutting down when suddenly, there's a knock at my door. I shout for them to come in and raise myself to a sitting position. One of the omegas, Gretchen I think her name was, comes waddling in, head down, and bows slightly, "Yes, Gretchen?"
She looks up suddenly and I can tell she's shocked by the fact that an alpha remembers her name. She seems like a kind soul, dressed in a pair of light gray pants and a white shirt. She smiles warmly at me and comes closer before speaking, "The queen wishes to see you in the dining room, you're majesty. She says it's urgent so you have no choice but to attend." I growl lowly and Gretchen jumps, sinking into herself slightly.
I compose myself quickly, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Tell my mother I'll be down in 20 minutes and can you ask the chef to serve some bubbling apple cider with my meal, I haven't had it in months." she smiles at me again before turning around swiftly and walking towards the door.
Before exiting she looks back at me," It's great to have you back, you're majesty. You'll make a fine queen soon and I, as well as the other omegas, are thrilled we have the honor of serving you." and with that, she leaves me in stunned silence. I shake it off, having no time to dwell on her kind words. I take a quick shower and change into a lavender semi-formal dress and silver heels. I put my hair up in a simple but neat ponytail and decide against wearing makeup. I make my way down the hallway deep in thought. Dinners with my mother have always been formal after my father's death but I have a feeling this one will be a little different.
