Lia~
I roll my eyes for what feels like the hundredth time, " You would have never been able to be queen anyways, now with our leadership you'll be able to shape the Next Generation and that child of yours will help us as soon as you give birth. we won't really need you but we should probably have a face for the kingdom. you know the drill, formalities, and such. As I was saying-" there's a loud boom from outside, the walls shaking startling both Clarissa and i. Guards start running up and down the hallways and I see smoke from outside my window. I smile as I realize what it means, they're here for me.
The smile however soon disappear as I realize that they have no idea what they are in for. Yes, the vampires aren't that advanced technologically but they have the numbers. They Outnumber us 3 to 1. I glance at Clarissa who is composing herself, pretending that she didn't just hear a loud explosion outside the window. she catches my eye and I see clear confidence but at the same time, I see fear and uncertainty. she has no idea how this battle will go and neither do I but I know I can't just stand by while they fight for me. this is my kingdom and my people. I need to fight but the struggle will be getting past Clarissa. my stomach is huge and it's a big enough struggle to just walk but fighting, I'm not sure if I will be able to do it. I don't even get the chance to explore the option because cuffs snake around my legs even tighter and pull me closer to the bed.
I turn to send Clarissa a dirty look but she merely shrugs, " I can't have you running around in the state you're in, you might endanger a little ticket to victory in there." She points to my stomach. despite hating her I realize how true her words actually are. the last thing I want to do is endanger my baby, even if it means sitting by and letting them fight for me.
She runs out of the room leaving me alone with my thoughts and of course my wolf, "You can't stand by and do nothing. Lucas is out there, I can feel it we have to go to our mate he doesn't even know about the baby."
I realize with a start that she's right, he doesn't know. The scent of blood reaches my nose but that isn't what bothers me. A snarl breaks from my throat, werewolf blood. I claw at the cuffs but they only seem to tighten even more. I growl in frustration and try to peek out the window barely seeing anything at all. It's all a blur of weapons, claws, and fur, some moving too fast to even keep track of.
The sound of keys jingling behind me breaks my concentration away from the window there stands Xavier with a smirk on his face but I recognize the fear behind his eyes," well are you just going to stand there or are you going to come help us all-powerful tribrid?"
He unlocks the cuffs and I feel my magic pouring into me. I don't have time to recover however because soon we're running down countless hallways trying to find our way to the action but stop in our tracks at the face before us, "Well where do you think you're going my pet?"
The king smirks at me but his gaze hardens at the sight of Xavier at my side, "You little traitor! I should've killed you when I had the chance!" He lunges at Xavier but I teleport him to safety before the king's claws can swipe at his face. His stare is murderous as he turns to me but I don't hold his gaze and get into a fighting stance.
I say a quick protection and agility spell and ready myself for his attack. A glint catches my eye and I stare in disbelief at the one thing I hoped id never see in this lifetime or the next. He follows my gaze to the dagger and a chill runs down my spine at the sight of his evil smirk, "You like my new toy? Clarissa spent months making it and you will not believe how delighted I was when she gave it to me, this morning of all things."
He rambles on but my only focus is on the dagger in his hands, dark and unnerving, just like its owner. It looks exactly like it does in the picture, the only weapon that could ever kill me, and it's in the hands of the very man that wants me dead.
Third Person~
The king advances on her making her stumble back to avoid the blade. With every advance he corners her deeper into the darkened hallway, barely giving her time to recover. Amelia used her magic to create a fine silver sword, just in time to block the king's latest attack. He jumps back but she strikes just in time to make a huge gash on his arm. The skin starts sizzling and he hissed in pain as the smells of vervain and blood mixes in the air. Amelia smirks but the look in his eyes sends a chill down her spine. He advances again, faster than before, and manages to corner her. He swipes at her leg with his claws making her wince in pain. He sweeps her legs from under her but she manages to stay upright with a levitation spell. She tries to pass over him but he grabs her leg and throws her against the wall. Her eyes tear up as her ribs crack. She blinks them away just as he wraps his hand around her neck, cutting off her air supply. She claws at his hand but he tightens his hold, nearly crushing her windpipe. The dagger skims her neck, just above his hold, the eerie glint, reflected in his dead eyes.
Lucas screams in agony as an unspeakable pain tears his heart into shreds. The wolves all howl, some in sadness, others in rage but all of them in loss, knowing their queen is dead.
