Eula scrunched up her hands, placing them over her eyes. Now you've done it! Ruined your one chance! She sobbed into her hands, leaning on the locked door. She knew she couldn't fall for anyone else. Sighing, she got up and got some paper, writing a note through her tears. She hoped the tear stains on the note would evaporate before Amber saw it. She put Amber's shirt and swimsuit in her tote bag along with the note and, flattening the bag, she slid it under the door.

Hi, I'm sorry I took it so far. I understand if you never want to see me again. I have put your swimsuit, and clothing along with this note in the bag.

Did she completely ruin everything? Amber had been her friend for so long, even before middle school... Not only was their possible relationship ruined, so was their friendship, and college hadn't even started yet.

Eula barely cried. She had learned to hide her feelings from a young age, when she ran away from her house. That night, she had packed a few necessities and ran into Mondstadt's city center, headed towards her favorite convenience store begging Blanche to hide her and give her a place to live. She was lucky to have Blanche and could never repay her for her kindness.

She composed herself and put on some of Sucrose's clothes, which had a weird fit to them but she supposed they worked. She sat on the couch, mindlessly scrolling through the channels on the television.

She found herself memorizing the order of the channels to distract herself, not caring to watch the shows themselves. She found her eyes slowly closing as she frantically tried to force them open, until she hadn't the energy anymore.

The door to the dorm opened with a loud click. Sucrose bursted in to see Eula muttering something underneath her breath, but other than that, she seemed very much asleep. Sucrose grabbed Ganyu's blanket, hoping she wouldn't mind as she put it over Eula, whose hair was still wet. Sucrose slipped a couch cushion under Eula's sleeping head and sighed, ordering four servings of takeout chop suey.

Five hours later, Ganyu rushed home quickly, following Amber's frantic texts to her. She didn't specify anything other than "please come home", "I need to talk to you". She had added a "I'm disgusted with myself" but had deleted it, not knowing Ganyu had seen it. Ganyu had left the ice rink in a hurry, leaving her newly made friends, Razor and Bennett, behind. They probably needed it anyway, she huffed, feeling herself third wheeling throughout the whole hangout. She entered the dorm to see Sucrose and a dark eyed Eula eating cold chop suey on the kitchen counter. Sucrose immediately explained the situation to her.

Jumping up from her cold chop suey, Ganyu ran towards Amber's dorm, knocking on the door several times. "Amber.. it's me."

The door opened slowly and Ganyu slipped inside, embracing Amber in a hug and sitting down beside her.

"Amber, Sucrose explained what happened to me, Eula texted her. Are you okay?"

"Well, yes. I bet Eula's upset. I didn't mean it, Ganyu, I really didn't!"

"It's okay Amber, I understand..."

"Yeah, well fuck this. I'm a disgusting human being! I don't deserve Eula! Not at all! She's been lovely enough to return my swimsuit and clothing, not been mad at me for leaving and even wrote a note checking up on me!"

"Amber..."

"Well the truth is, I'm scared of love! I mean, what the fuck?" Amber threw her hands up in frustration, turning her head to finally face Ganyu. "What I felt in the locker room- I can't do it, Ganyu, I can't. I thought this was what I wanted! Urgh.. I've liked her since high school... I really ruined it..." she hurried her face in her hands. "Can you sleep in here with me tonight?"

Ganyu gave Amber a nod, before revealing the cold chop suey in her hands. "Here, this is for dinner. I can stay with you and eat here if you want." Ganyu placed a hand on Amber's shoulders comfortingly. "C'mon, let's eat."

The two pairs had eaten in silence, each friend putting their respective lovers to sleep, tucking them in and moving their clothes and suitcases in their new bedrooms. At about midnight, Sucrose and Ganyu finally met up on the balcony to talk.

"Hey..." Ganyu started, glancing down at the glimmering city below.

"Hey yourself," Sucrose answered, "Crazy day, wasn't it?"

"I guess you could say that. I hope they're okay."

"Me too..."

They stood there in silence for a couple of minutes, looking at the peaceful-yet-chaotic cityscape below, before Ganyu decided to pipe up again.

"Well, I mean, Amber told me she still liked Eula, and that she was only afraid of her feelings."

"Wow... not to be rude but- couples-in-love, amirite?" Sucrose smirked, but her smirk quickly turned into a frown.

"Yeah," Ganyu replied with a slight laugh. "It's getting late, maybe we should- hit the hay?"

"Haha, very funny." Sucrose laughed dryly at her best friend's attempt to joke. "C'mon, let's get to bed. We only have a few more days before school officially starts."

"Alright..."
