"So, what's the list?" Barbara smiled at Noelle as they walked into the large store.
Noelle handed Barbara the notepad. Barbara skimmed through most of it, until she stopped.
"A card for Venti?" Barbara handed the notepad back to Noelle, puzzled.
"Did you not hear?" Noelle furrowed her brows, pulling up something on her phone.
"What?! Is he okay?" Barbara exclaimed worriedly.
"I think so..." Noelle put away her phone hastily.
"Awww..." Barbara trailed off, thinking about that night of truth or dare, the same night that she and Noelle... She internally slapped herself, shaking her head furiously and blushing.
Noelle opened her mouth to say something, but stopped.
"W-well, shall we go get some school supplies?" Barbara interjected suddenly, guiding Noelle towards the stationary shop with her left arm, still intertwined in Noelle's right.
"Oh! Yes, of course!" Noelle and Barbara browsed the aisles upon aisles of stationery, picking out pencils, rulers and notebooks they liked.
"Noelle! Look! There's matching pencil cases in our favourite colours! Blue and yellow! They're so cute! They even have little cats on them!" Barbara picked the cases up to bring to Noelle.
"Oooh, those look good!" Noelle replied, examining the pencil cases and turning them around in her hands, looking at the happily prancing kittens printed all over.
"Wait.. I just got a text from the group chat," Barbara checked her phone, bemused.
