Venti scoured the shared closet for a pair of white jean shorts. The golden rays of the sunrise were reflected on every surface, though this did nothing to lighten the tense atmosphere in the room.

Chongyun was busy inserting a capsule into the coffee maker. Pressing a few buttons, the machine whirred and beeped, shooting hot coffee into the mug below. After dousing most of the coffee with milk so that it was more a cup of milk than a cup of coffee, he handed it to Xiao. Chongyun inserted another capsule. Adding less milk to it, he handed this one to Venti (Xingqiu didn't get any).

Checking over their individual schedules one more time, they set out for breakfast at the Teyvat Café.

Ugh, I'm going to be late! Ganyu thought as she checked her alarm that failed to go off, jumping out of bed. She grabbed a purse and packed a few essentials. Brushing her teeth while holding her schedule with one hand, she scanned over it quickly:

Waking a groggy Sucrose up, they both hurried to get ready. Eula and Amber were nowhere to be found, they had most likely left already. Taking her pre-packed purse and darting out of the bathroom, she grabbed a slice of raw bread, not bothering to toast it as she ran out of her dorm, up the elevator, and through the sky bridge. Catching an escalator down a few floors with Sucrose by her side, they walked briskly into the Lawrence hall, breathing a sigh of relief as they found that students were still entering and selecting seats.

Scanning the spacious auditorium, Ganyu glanced around at the lavish seats lining every row. Shielding her eyes from the bright sun shining in from outside the domed glass room, she attempted to find her friends amongst the crowd already gathered.

Finally finding the cluster of seats that her friends were occupying, she waved, smiling, and sat down next to Keqing, who was the first person to wave back. Sucrose followed and sat down on a seat next to Albedo, who smiled warmly at her arrival.

"Hey! How was your sleep?" Ganyu asked, plopping her purse down in front of her.

"Not the greatest, woke up early and only got, like, four hours of sleep- not the best start of a day, if I do say so myself!" Keqing satirized, laughing at herself. "You?"

"I woke up soo late. I didn't even get breakfast, and I can swear, I probably forgot a few books!" Ganyu laughed along, not knowing why this simple and casual small talk-ish conversation gave her such immense butterflies in her chest.
