Chapter 14 - Noon

After a lunch of Satisfying Salad and Wolfhook Juice, Ganyu hastily said goodbye to the rest of the group at the table. She needed to make a trip to her dorm to retrieve a textbook and calculator for Finance. Slinging the strap of her purse over a shoulder, she waved back towards the table and walked out of the Café, feeling full. Walking quickly past shops, she was about to board the elevator when she suddenly felt a tap at her shoulder.

"Wait!" Keqing slowed down, panting. "You walk so fast, I couldn't even..." After a few seconds of catching her breath, Keqing began again. "So, we both have finance, can we please walk together? So we don't get lost?" She added, almost as an afterthought.

"Sure!" Ganyu was more than happy to oblige. Fumbling in her purse for her Student ID, the glass elevator door opened and she stepped in, followed by Keqing.

"Alright, floor twenty!" Ganyu pressed on a button and scanned her card. Peering outside through the curved glass wall, she leaned on the railings, relaxing. "I love these elevators so much, you can see outside as we get higher. Teyvat is so big, and we're so small, if you think about it..." Ganyu exclaimed, and Keqing nodded.

"Really puts everything into perspective, huh?" Keqing smiled. (A/N: philosophical ganqing arc!?)

Then, the elevator dinged, and they both stepped out. Scanning around the area, Ganyu noticed that to her left was a glass-walled stairwell that led up to the rooftop pool. To her right was a row of commercial areas, similar to the tenth floor. Situated between two shops, was the entrance to the sky bridge. Though there were still many students, the twentieth floor was a stark contrast to the tenth, which was bustling with so many people it was hard to not bump into someone when running around.

From here, they had a straight view of the sky roof right on top of them, which when viewed from the skating rink, seemed as far away as Celestia. Ganyu couldn't help but look up at the blazing sun over them as she and Keqing walked over to the sky bridge.

Keqing didn't say a word as they crossed the bridge, sensing that Ganyu was distracted by their almost sublime surroundings. They both stepped out into a bright, airy room. Sunlight streamed in through every massive window, and Ganyu shielded her eyes. A rack with small brochures was set on a desk, and they walked over to it.

Peeling off a note, Ganyu filled in her information in her usual tidy scrawl. Handing the pen from the desk to Keqing, to fill in her information too.

"We can take the stairs down!" Ganyu skipped towards the stairwell ahead of them, and Keqing slid the note in the box it was intended to go in, then followed.

There seemed to be no escape from the rays of the sun, as the walls of the stairwell were also almost completely glass. Luckily, they were going down, and not up. When they stepped out of the stairwell, they were met by a room almost identical to the one on the twentieth, though slightly smaller and filled with furniture. A few students were gathered at a comfortable couch, eating from a box of Teyvat Pizza on the coffee table in front of them. Relaxing, café-esque music played from a small speaker on one wall.

"This is the lounge, the dorms are down this hallway." Ganyu waved Keqing over, and they turned left into a wide hallway, identical to the one on Keqing's floor.
