Do you ever count the seconds, minutes, and even hours of what you do?

I hadn't left the bathroom stall at all today, but I had to as the final bell rang . I walk out of the stall and head towards the sink. I look in the mirror and observed how red my face became. I didn't bother to wash my face. People can ask me what happened. I'll just make up something. I mean they don't really care if I'm hurt or not. That may sound rude, but when you think that someone cares about you it can always lead you to a broken heart that you know won't ever be fixed....well at least thats how I see it.

As I exit the restroom I see Skylar, Jordan, and Taylor looking at me with worried expression. They're probably wondering why I wasn't in eighth period. I was about to walk towards them, but instantly turned and walked out the door. I hear some foots steps behind me and heavy breathing as they all finally catch up to me.

"Hey what's wrong? Why weren't you in eighth?" Jordan ask.

"I just....." I pause trying to think of something. "I don't really want to talk about it"

"What happened?" They ask.

"Just nothing. Can we just go home?" They all nod their heads, but knowing them I knew this conversation wasn't over.

On our way home, we see people running past us and hear screaming in the distance. We look up and immediately stop dead in our tracks.

"Is that?-" Taylor begans.

"It is" Both Skylar and Jordan say. I feel their eyes on me as I stand there like a frozen popsicle.

"Anna Kendrick...." I breath out. It just felt like time stopped and the only thing I saw was her. Like nothing was moving but her. My eyes felt like they had popped out. My heart pounds in and out of my chest. I finally snap back to reality as Jordan waves her hand in front of my face.

I look down and sigh knowing that this is as close as I'll get to her. "Well this has been nice, but I have to get home." I say.

"Why? This is what you've been waiting for" Taylor says.

"I know, but I need to get home" I reply back. I know that this is what I've been waiting for, but they don't know what happens if I'm not home in 10 minutes.

"Why now? I don't think your parents will care if you get home late" She stated. "Well maybe for you, but your parents aren't like mine" I think to myself. I sigh and look at them with a small sad expression.

"Sorry I just have to go." And with that I head off home and see them running towards the large crowd.

"Some friends they are" I thought. However, they're not living a life in hell.

I take one last glance at Anna and a small smile formed. I resume walking home again.

Anna's Pov:

I smile as the flash goes off from my phone."Houston, Texas.....excited to see my little weirdos today" I type. While waiting for my picture to upload on insta, my driver finally pulls up infront of my hotel. I'm staying here for three weeks for work and to have a small vacation off I guess.

I walk out of the car and grab my luggage from the back. I don't allow my driver to. I'm not that kind of person. I mean I'm perfectly capable of carrying my own things without anyone helping me. I go in and walk over to the counter to check in.

I head towards the elevator and press the up arrow. While waiting for the elevator I looked around the place and found some interesting paintings and articles.....hmm. I then found one painting that really caught my eye. I snap back into reality as I hear the ding of the elevator opening. I dragged my luggage and pressed the button 6.
