Chapter 10

No One's Pov:

Skylar had woken up before Emily. Normally when Emily spends the night she'd usually hit her with a pillow. However, after what happened last night, Skylar decided that it was best if she let Emily sleep in.

Skylar got up and went to the kitchen were she found her mom sitting at the end of the table reading the news. She sits down at the other end and sighs. "Whats wrong?" Her mother asked as she laid down the paper.

"Nothing. I'm just worried about Emily" Skylar says.

"Why?"

She looks at her mom and sighs once again. "Its just that last night when she came, it was really unexpected. I mean yea she's done it before, but it was for different reasons and last night when I went to let her in as soon as I opened the door she immediately darted towards me and hugged me. She was also crying. I have no idea why and she didn't really want to talk to me about it so I decided not to push it any further" she quickly explains.

"Do you think it has to do with Daniel leaving her?" Janice -Skylar's mom- asked.

"Well I did, but I realise that it could be something much more," Skylar answers.

Both the mother and daughter sat there in silence for a good 5 minutes until Skylar hesitantly asks something. Something that she'd never think would be true. "Do you think Emily...gets abused at home?"

"I-I-I don't know honey. I'm sorry" Skylar shook her head. "No its fine mom. I guess you're right. Maybe it is about Daniel leaving. Can we talk about something else?"

"Sure. How about you tell me what you and Emily are going to do today"

"Right now I'm letting her sleep in, but when she wakes up we're going downtown to see if we can "accidentally" bump into Anna Kendrick." She laughs out.

Janice just smiles at her daughter. "I got to get going or I'll be late for work. Hope you have a nice day sweetie" with that she kisses Skylar's head and leaves the tall brunette alone with her thoughts.

"Hey" she hears Emily behind her.

"Hey"

Emily walks over and sits down next to her as she begans to play with her hands. "I heard you and your mom" she mumbles.

"Em, I'm so sor-"

"No its fine. I'd be talking about the same thing if you were me and I was you. Anyway you ready?"

"For what?"

"You know. Now let's go. I want to "accidentally" bump into Anna."

Skylar playfully rolls her eyes at her friend's comment.

"What if instead of us bumping into Anna; we bump into Sinderck?" She smirked.

Emily glared at her before responding back "One its not Sinderck its Sen-der-ick. Sendrick and two you know as well I do that you would have to call 911"

"Ok whatever. Let's go weirdo"

Emily's Pov:

When we arrived downtown I couldn't help, but smile. All I can think about is our conversation that we had earlier. What would I do if we actually ran into Anna? Would we talk?I shake my head. I'm getting my hopes up too much.

"Thinking about Anna?"

I can feel my smile get wider at the mention of her name.

"Um yea. How'd you know?"
