He never messaged me back. He read it. I saw the two blue ticks, but he never replied. That's what's I wanted though. I needed him to leave me alone. I was falling in love with someone who could never love me back.
I broke up with Marcus. I caught him with Jess. I didn't shout at him. I didn't cry. I told him it wasn't his fault. We weren't the same people we were all those years ago. I hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. I turned around, walked away and never looked back. That was 6 weeks ago.
Alice and Jack were still together. I spent a lot of time with them both. Jack never looked at me. Never winked at me. When we were alone he didn't speak to me. He removed me from Instagram, which was harsh. I liked seeing his stories. Watching him with the lads at football training. I just had to see it on Google now or Alice would show me.
I hadn't been feeling well. I had no appetite anymore. When I did eat I threw it back up. I knew I was sad but I didn't realise I was this sad.
A loud banging echoed through my house 'Cas it's me open up!'
I opened the door to see Alice standing there with a Tesco bag.
'I need your help' she cried.
'Alice what's wrong?'
'I've missed my period'
She did a test in my bathroom. She was pregnant. She did 5 tests. They were all positive. She was pregnant. Jack was the dad. They were going to have a baby. Be a family. With Jack. My Jack. It hurt. It hurt a lot.
'Alice! Are you okay?'
She was shocked! 'I don't know! We were so careful. We forgot to wear a condom one time' she cried 'how am I going to tell Jack?'
Jack and I never wore a condom. We were always to in the moment to put one on. When did I last have my period? I can't remember. Oh fuck.
Two days later;
'There's your baby Cassie. You are measuring at 8 weeks 3 days'
Oh no. Oh no. Fuck fuck fuck.
'Are you sure??'
The sonography laughed 'yep 100%. There's your baby'
My baby was so small. Tiny. You couldn't make anything out as it wasn't formed properly yet. But there was my baby.
