Chapter 12

Oh shit! What do I say? I can't tell her what happened between us.
'I have no idea' I laughed 'that was so weird!'
She looked at me, and laughed 'yeah he is weird. Strange lad'
We all laughed. Phew! that was close.

We were getting ready to leave. We were all feeling very tipsy verging on being drunk. 'BRB I really need a wee' I said as I started walking off in the direction of the toilets.
As I walked down the empty corridor where the toilets were, I heard a hand dryer go and as I was walking past the male toilets, the door opened. It was him.
'You alright? He asked me. Very civil.
'Yeah are you?
'Yeah'
'Congratulations on getting man of the match in your tournament. That's really good!'
'Haha you were watching?'
'Well gotta support you haven't I! I'd be a terrible person if I didn't' I laughed.
He looked at me. Like really looked at me.
'I wasn't messaging Sophia when we were sleeping together Cas. I was messaging her before Alice but I'
He had seen my message.
'Jack it's fine. You don't need to explain yourself to me. I was drunk when I sent that message'
He sighed 'you seem different'
'I am. I am happy in my relationship. I wasn't happy when I met you'
'Oh yeah, you are with a lad called Cam. He's got nothing on me Cas' he winked. 'I'm joking, you deserve to be happy!'
I smiled 'thank you. Ay what's these engagement rumours? Things getting serious? Didn't think you were the settling down type' I joked.
'You changed me' he took a step closer to me.
'I've never stopped thinking about you. You are the first thing I think of in a morning, and the last thing I think of at night' he put his hand on my face.
'I'm sorry for hurting you'
'Don't be sorry! We weren't every together. What we did was wrong. I enjoyed it. But ending it was the right thing to do' I said.
'Do you ever think about it? About us?'
'Jack, I think Sophia will be wondering where you are'
'I know we weren't ever together Cas, but I fell in love with you. I struggle to forget about you. I'm always checking what you are doing' his hand still on my face 'Cam's not good enough for you. He can't make you happy like I can'
'Like you could' I corrected 'you are with Sophia. You love her and she loves you. I'll see you around Jack'
I walked around him and into the toilets. I need to forget about him. Alice would hate me forever if she ever found out what I did.

We got back from Ibiza yesterday. We were all so sad it ended, but we had the best time. Even if Jack did appear and it took me back about 5 steps!
I was laid in bed with Cam, when my phone pinged. The number wasn't saved in my phone, but I knew exactly who it was.
'Who's that' Cam asked
'Oh it's just Tesco' I said quickly. 'Clubcard points'
'Ah right haha' he laughed.
'I'm just going to get a drink'
I went downstairs and opened the message.
'Can you meet me in an hour?'
'Why?' I replied
'I really need to see you' he replied immediately 'please'
Ffs! What should I do? Do I go to him? Do I ignore him? Why won't he leave me alone!
'Where?' This would be the last time!
He told me to meet him in the car park we sex in over a year ago.
'Cam I'm going to head off now' I said half an hour later 'I've got work tomorrow and I'm knackered. Ibiza took it out of me so I need to rest'
He looked at me 'okay but I thought you would stop here tonight?'
'No I've left all my stuff at home. I'll see you tomorrow though after work'
I kissed him bye and drove off to meet Jack.I parked up, walked over to his car and got in the passenger side.
He smelt incredible. He looked incredible. That smile! Those teeth. Just everything was beautiful.
'I've broken up with Sophia'
I was shocked 'what?? Why?'
'She's not the one I want Cas, you are! Since the first night I seen you at that club, you've always been the one I wanted!'
'Why go with Alice then??'
'Because you had a boyfriend Cas! I thought you were happy and wouldn't leave him' he sighed 'I needed to stay close to you by being with Alice'
I just looked at him.
'Yeah I was planning on proposing to Sophia. The rumours were true. But only because she said she wanted that otherwise we needed to end it. I just thought it would be easy, but then I saw you again and all my feelings is hidden for a year, came flooding back. You are my one and only! You Cassie!'
I had no idea what to say. I felt exactly the same.
I leaned over and kissed him. What's the point of acting like I didn't feel the same way? Yeah I liked Cam but he was no Jack. No one would ever be Jack.
He kissed me back. We didn't stop for air. We just kept kissing and kissing. We started taking each other's clothes off, quickly!
He took his lips off mine and said 'I love you'
'I love you' I said back.
We made love. It was romantic, it was slow and it meant something. I did truly love him.

I stayed with him for hours. We spoke about everything that had happened in the last year. He told me all about his football, and how much he enjoyed it. All the new mates he made. I loved every minute of it.
I left him around 5am and drove home. As I pulled up on my drive, I saw someone sitting at my front door.
'What the duck' I said to myself 'who is that'
As I looked closer, I saw who it was.
Oh shit! How long had he been there, waiting for me to come home.
I got out of the car and walked to my front door.
'Where the fuck have you been' cam shouted.
