Chapter Eight, A Date with Jay

The VKs had been in Auradon for a few weeks now and during that time Jay had finally plucked up the courage to ask Eris out on a date which she readily accepted; much to Evie's and Mal's excitement. Eris wasn't the only one going on date the Saturday a week after they arrived, Mal and Ben were too.
"Ooooh! I'm so excited!" Evie squealed, bouncing on the bed slightly as she completed Eris's makeup after just finishing Mal's. The three sisters had just had a rather deep and meaningful conversations about their mothers and how they were actually afraid of them, but they were happy they had each other; if no one else.

"Eve, calm down." Mal laughed shaking her head at her little sister.
"I can't! I'm so excited! My older sister and my younger twin sister are going on dates! Dates with guys who they truly deserve and who will treat them right." Evie squealed ecstatically. "Although, if either of them hurt you I'll curse them!" She said suddenly stern as her magic swirled beneath her skin holding her to her promise.
"I second that!" Mal stated, staring at her youngest sister. "If he treats you like Harry I'll end him." Mal swore.
"We know Eve. And no matter if Ben is spelled, he treats you badly and I'll end him." Eris swore, staring at her eldest sister. "You do deserve happiness and love, Mal."

"As do you two. But I've got that from my sisters and in Jay and Carlos as my friends. I don't need anyone or anything else." Mal said softly, embracing her sisters tightly. When she pulled back she looked over Eris, taking in her black top, blue skater skirt, black leather jacket and heels. Blue eyeshadow and red lipstick and her blue locks were curled into loose curls.
"You look beautiful, E!" Mal whispered.
"As do you, M." Eris complimented, looking over her sister's outfit. "Now, we just need to find the perfect guy for our Evie."
"That we do." Mal agreed, a twinkling in her eyes as she thought of the mousey-brown bespectacled band player who had shown them to their rooms and who was infatuated with Evie, and not just for her looks but for her personality and her intelligence as well.

One look at Eris and Mal knew she was thinking the exactly the same thing. Before Evie could say anything to sharp knocks sounded on the door interrupting their sisterly talks.
"Hi Ben. Hi Jay." Evie beamed brightly, almost bouncing on the spot to the guys' amusement. "Take care of my sisters." She warned, pointing a needle at the pair of them dangerously.
"I will." The two polar opposite men answered.
"What will you be doing, Eve?" Jay asked troubled, knowing how attached the twins were to each other and didn't want his friend to be alone. "Carlos is in our room if you want -"
"Perfect! I can fit him for his outfit for the Coronation!" Evie exclaimed, darting back into her room and grabbing what she needed she hugged her sisters before making a beeline for Jay and Carlos's room.

"Carlos is definitely going to love you, Jay." Eris laughed, watching her boyfriend look rather concerned for their now dog-loving friend.
"What did I just sign him up for?" Jay laughed, leading Eris to a waterfall where they would be having a picnic for their date.
"You'll be next so you'll find out." Eris teased, as they enjoyed a wonderful picnic full of banter and laughter, and towards the end of the date there was a sweet kiss shared between them as they would come to learn exactly what love feels like as their love between them would only continue to grow.
