I sat in the back of the Hummer listening to Josh run his mouth. He was full of shit. Couldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. I still don't understand how he survived this long in the game.
"You get any info on them niggas?" I asked coldly.
Josh shifted nervously in his seat. "Nah. I just tried to convince Khaza to make a deal with you. He wasn't really saying much. I don't think he likes me Jamar."
I scoffed at him before laughing.
"A deal?" I said. "Nigga, I ain't tell you to make no damn deal. I told you to find out what moves they making this weekend."
"How I'm supposed to do that?" he asked.
"I don't know, nigga. Figure it out."
His face tightened.
"And if you don't..." I continued calmly, "you already know what happens to that precious daughter of yours."
Josh swallowed hard.
"And don't forget," I added, "you still owe me my money. Couple weeks. That's all you bought yourself."
"Man, please," he said quickly. "I can't make a million in two weeks. Give me a month or two."
Listening to him beg irritated my soul.
"Get the fuck out of my car," I snapped."
He froze.
Looked out of the window.
The car was still in motion.
"I don't want to see your face again unless you got something valuable for me. Otherwise..." I leaned closer, "I'll take everything you got."
I expected him to be leaving but he just, sat there. So, I pulled my gun out and that was all it took. He instantly threw the door open and jumped out while the truck was still rolling.
I smirked to myself.
That part never got old.
I lit the blunt and leaned back against the seat while the city lights blurred past the window.
LA was close. I could feel it.
Soon enough, the whole city would belong to me.
I pulled my phone out and called Kesha.
"Hello?"
"Wassup, boo," I said. "What happened last night?"
"Nothing happened."
My expression darkened instantly.
"You ain't do what I told you to do?"
"I mean... we hooked up, but I don't really wanna get in the middle of—"
Click.
I disconnected the call. She will be dealt with.
I closed my eyes for a second, taking another hit from the blunt.
Then someone else came to mind.
An inside source...
The line rang three times before an answer.
"Yo?"
"Any moves happening?"
Silence
"Vincent warehouse next Friday at eight. Five keys."
"You better not be lying to me nigga."
"Fuck you Jamar. I just want my brother back."
"We had a deal. Lil nigga stays with me until it's done."
"I wanna see him. How I know you won't play me? I don't even know if he's still alive"
"You got my word," I replied. "And I'll let you see him."
"When?"
"Come by the spot tonight. Alone."
Silence.
"And don't try no stupid shit," I added. "Or he's dead."
"...I'm there." he responded.
