~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Third Hokage POV
I was sitting at my desk doing paperwork when I heard a knock on my door. "Come in," The door opened, and in entered Iruka. This confused me because I was not expecting Iruka. But, it also worried me because the only time he comes to see me unannounced, it has something to do with Naruto. And if it had something to do with Naruto, it was nothing good. Iruka walked up to my desk and nervously bowed in respect. "What is the problem, Iruka. I can tell you are worried about something. Is it Naruto?" That made Iruka slightly flinch.
"Y-yes, sir."
"What happened"
"He knows, sir. He has made a connection with the fox." At that, my eyes widened in shock. Naruto wasn't supposed to know for a long while, so why now. "Naruto says that the fox's name is Kurama and that he was willing to train him to become a ninja. Naruto has stated the fox wishes to teach him sensory."
"Why? While the training would be beneficial for Naruto, along with being able to use sensory, why would the fox want to help him." I questioned, shaking my head in disbelief and confusion.
"I do not know, sir."
"Iruka, head back to Naruto's apartment and bring him back. I wish I could there instead of bringing him here, but as you can see, I am pretty swamped with work." I stated gesturing, to the stack of paper around me.
"Yes, sir, right away," He said with a final bow before leaving.
---With Naruto---
Naruto POV
Once Iruka-nii left, I sat on the rug in the middle of the living room and followed Kurama's instructions on meditation. I sat cross-legged, set a hand on either knee, closed my eyes, took deep breaths. It was very relaxing and peaceful. There was no noise, no yelling, no hate, no pain. Just me and darkness. It felt like I had been meditating for hours when the darkness seemed to break away. The peaceful darkness was interrupted by and a quick flash of a black and white image. I wasn't able to fully comprehend the image because my meditation was interrupted by my door opening.
At first, I was scared that it was a villager, but then I got a feeling telling me that it was Iruka-nii. I heard the footsteps enter the room that I currently occupied and looked up to where I presumed him to be. "Iruka-nii? Why are you back? Not that I'm complaining, but you didn't say you were gonna return today."
Third POV
Iruka looked at Naruto in shock. He had been pretty quiet entering the apartment, as to not scare Naruto, again, and was not expecting the blind 5-year-old to be able to identify him. "Ummm... Lord Third wished to see and speak with you."
"Jiji did? Well okay! Let's go; we can't keep him waiting!" He exclaimed, popping up and running to where he thought the hall was, ultimately almost running into the wall if not for Iruka stopping him before he hit the wall.
"Ok ok, we can go. Just no running into walls." While the two walked out of the apartment, neither considered the thoughts of the fox inside Naruto. Who at the time was marveling at his holder's potential and ability. The boy had just started learning how to meditate, and already he had cracked into the surface of sensory vision. An ability that is considered only to be able to be mastered by a few.
Naruto was a true prodigy and with a little bit of time and training, this child could be on his way to becoming the most powerful ninja the world has ever seen.
