Time skip 2 years

Third POV

In the middle of a large training ground sat a quiet 7-year-old with blond hair. He had his eyes closed and was listening to the things around him. Just as he took a deep breath he heard the trigger of a trap be pulled. Instantly he identified the sound of kunai's heading in his direction. He jumped and twisted in the air, landing on the ground, only to flip once more and avoid the oncoming weapons. 

When the onslaught of weapons ended he sensed the chakra of his sensei coming for him. Naruto started fighting at a brutal pace. After about 30 min, the two fell to the ground, with Naruto pining his sensei down with a victorious grin.

"I win again nii-san."

"Hai Hai, that you do. Good job." Iruka said before sitting up and letting out a huff of breath. "I have never met another 7-year-old that had such endurance and stamina," Iruka said shaking his head while looking at Naruto who had barely broken a sweat, even though the two had been training for the past 4 hours.

"That's because after sensory, Kura wanted me to extend my endurance and stamina levels. She puts gravity seals on me every month so that I can get stronger." Naruto said calmly and seemingly way more mature than the average 7-year-old.

"Yeah well, now it's time for school. It is almost 10 and your Genin test is at 10:30."

"Ugh, I don't even know why I have to take it. Im already at an ANBU level."

"Because you can't be promoted to ANBU until graduating at least the Genin level."

Naruto just huffed in annoyance, "Fine."

The two walked to the academy silently, both ignoring the not-so-silent comments given by the villagers toward the young blond. Iruka wished he could go gut out every villager that said such hurtful things toward Naruto, but he had been forbidden by Naruto from doing anything. Naruto's reason? The words weren't too bad and he didn't want to become what the villagers had classified him as.

Once they got to the classroom, Naruto went to sit at his desk and Iruka went to sit behind his own. Over the next 10 min, the rest of the class eventually filtered in. All of Naruto's classmates were bratty and 5 years older than him. Which meant he was the smallest and youngest; unfortunately, it caused his class to think lowly of him and as the weakest of them.

When Naruto went to take his test he passed with flying colors. Just as he had expected. But, unlike the others who were given a diploma and a headband, Naruto was nearly given a diploma and a note telling him to go directly to the Hokage office.

Naruto quickly left the academy and walked through the village, on his way to the Hokage office. As he thought about what he was being summoned for his mind crossed over the possibility of finally being able to become an ANBU; but, Jiji had never mentioned this to him nor has he brought up the subject with anyone other than Iruka.

When he made it to the office, he opened the door to see Iruka and Jiji talking. The two turned toward him and smiled. "Jiji? Nii-san? What's going on?"

"Congrats Ototo!" Iruka said proudly.

"Wait... Jiji, is what I think is happening actually happening?"

"Yes little one, the last time I had spoken to Kurama we agreed and decided that once you became a genin, you would be offered the position of ANBU. Now-"

"YES!" Naruto shouted out, interrupting the old Hokage, "Umm so-sorry"

"Haha it's alright, I know how long you have been waiting and wanting this. Now ANBU in general is a very dangerous job, but for you, it is even more so. You are the youngest ANBU we have ever had so many people may underestimate you. Because of this more people may come after you since you are so little. Another thing is that you are blind. Now I know you are capable of seeing when you use sensory, and that you are on your way to becoming a complete sensory master; but, sensory isn't something you can use 24/7. So when you are not using it you must be very careful. Understood?"

"Hai," Naruto said with a mixture of proudness, excitement, and understanding.

"Now for a very important question. What would you like your name to be?" Sarutobi asked while holding his pen over Naruto's Ninja rank and status sheet.

"Kurama and I agreed that a fitting name for me would be Kitsune," Naruto said with a curt nod.

Sarutobi nodded and hummed in agreement, jotting the name down. "Alright, welcome to ANBU, Kitsune. Report to ANBU HQ tomorrow morning to get your gear"

"Hai!"
