My fur felt hot and sticky, it was as if I was trapped in an unbreakable cage that would be there forever, and now all I could do was watch as my legs uncontrolably raced after the one I loved most.
Thoughts crouded my mind as bad memories played themselves before my eyes.
----The whole camp had crouded our alphas den as he called us all for a meeting, his new beta; Ivy, seated at his side.
Ivys eyes glittered as she watched the other members greet her at her new rank, she had always been a high rank, after all, she was our alphas daughter.
The alpha was only aloud to have one true kin, but our alphas mate had had two pups, so he chose the one he thought was beautiful and the other one was cast aside, never aloud to rank up.----
The memory was over in a flash but before I could push it away another was forced into place.
----The forest was full of fresh prey scent as I quietly stalked through the undergrowth.
I was intent on catching a rabbit that had crossed my path, it was no more then a leap away but as I crouched to leap a streak of silver fur passed me and before I knew it she had killed the prey with ease.
She lifted her head with the rabbits blood dripping from her mussle.
"Ivy," I growled "You knew that was my catch!"
"Yep," she retorted "but I cought it so now it's mine."
Before I could snarl another comment another fox walked to her side, his sunset colored pelt glowing from the suns rays.
"Nice catch!" he barked happily "You can eat that now if you want."
"Sun that's against the laws, even those of the highest rank at saposed to obey." I insisted
Sun then lowered his once pride filled gaize and met my eyes before grunting "And just what would you know about the laws? If you were that smart you would know that I am your leader and you ,are nothing to me."
He then turned away from me and stalked off into the undergrowth Ivy following closely from behind.----
That memory had always been in my heart, for that had been the first time my jaws wanted to rip apart one of my own pack-mates. I braced myself for the next memory, not wanting it to tear me apart as much as this one had.
---- Paws heavly pinned me down as I trained for battle.
"Ivy!" I gasped as she began to put more streangth into her grip, causeing her claws to break my skin. "Thats enough! You win!" still she pushed harder, letting blood ooz from my shoulders.
This was training, not real fighting, even if it was Ivy knew that I had already given in.
Her eyes then locked with mine, they were filled with joy, she was enjoying this! "Only Sun can stop me." she whispered
Sun? If it were left to him he would have killed me the moment I was born! So I started to howl for help, "Sun! Please stop this, it's only training we don't need to continue!" I would have said more but I could only gasp in pain as Ivy dug her claws in further.
Sun did not respond.
I struggled to turn my head to see if he was even still there, he was. Only instead of stoping this he just watched as Ivy tried to kill me, his eyes were glowing with pride, for the fox he had trained was winning.
Next to him sat my trainer, Rye, her eyes were filled with horr at what she was witnessing. Quickly she turned and spoke into Suns ear, he listened intently then called out to Ivy.
"You can stop now... Ivy you have won."
slowly Ivy released her grip, and padded to Suns side to speak with him.
Rye symply sat near by with her head hanging low, she seamed to be listening in to what they were saying. As I limped over to Ryes side I was able to hear what she herd.
"I am very proud of you Ivy, she was weak and you were able to prove that." Sun said quietly "Though you do know better then to use your claws at a time like this, but if that had been a true enemy you would have killed them with ease, you did well and I hope you do better next time."
"Thank you, but, what will you do about Rye?" Ivy whispered in a sly way.
Suns eyes began darken with anger as he replied "She may be a horible mentor but, she is strong. I will wait for her to prove herself once more, and untill then I will do nothing."
My pelt began to smolder with anger, Rye had nothing to do with this! If this had been a fair training match I would have won easly, if anything I would be dead had Rye not saved me from Ivy! ----
The Ink that conceiled me was now welcomed as it powered my body with reasons for revenge. Ivy and Sun deserved to be ripped apart as much as I had.
My memories had stopped once I reached the steping stones that led to my camp. Flair was a few stones ahead of me and though he moved fast I knew that I would not stop untill I killed my true enemies!
Once I reached the camps entrance I attacked the one closest to me, Flair. I had never found a reason to fight with him before, but now that he stood in the way of my revenge I knew that he had become my enemy.
The foxes that had been lined up with him when I entered the camp had all at one point been my close friends but now that they opposed me, I would have to fight them all.
Flairs eyes locked with mine, they only showed his saddness for he did not want to fight me. But if he gaurded these fools I was willing to fight anyway.
I lunged at him, trying to grip his throught in my Ink covered teeth but before I could grip him a Spirit that had been behind me, yanked me from my position and pinned me down. Her scent flooded my sences as I strugled from her grasp, it was Leo, once she had been one of my closest friends. For a moment I was lost in my tran of thought but I was pulled out of it as her claws pirced through my thick shealed of Ink.
A snarl ripped from my mouth as turnned on her, pulled her from my back and tossed her against a wall. As I did so another memory entered my head.
----The warm glow of the setting sun heated my fur as I streched out on the sandy beach that lay across the steping stones to our camp. My friends, Rye, Leo, and Mea out splashing in the cool ocean water.
Without warning a huge wave splashed over me, drenching my body from head to tail. I gasped from it's cold and looked at Rye and Leo who were wadding in the ocean shallows, and though they were closer I knew who had done it. Further out in the water I saw Mea who was trying to look as helpless as posible.
"Mea!" I whined "What was that for?"
In answering she barked back "Well, you looked tired!"
"And why would that give a reason for you to splash me?"
"I dunno." she said with misgif glowing in her eyes.
Before I could try to swim over and splash back at her I heard Leo cry out, "Eew!" so I turned to her direction to see what happened "I think Rye pee'd in the water!"
"Did not!" snaped Rye " I bet it was you and your just trying to blame me!"
In the end their fight ended in a turmoil of splashes."----
I no longer wanted to fight these foxes.
Before I could turn to face my next apponent I noticed I was pinned by all my friends from the past. And though I just wanted to give in and to leave them in peace, the Ink forced my to continue struggleing untill I had broken free of all of them, and soon I did.
