INK Chapter Eight--Icys POV

I awoke lying in the cave that Bloc had brought me to, though now, there was no one but me.

The floor was still glowing brilliantly yet, to me, it was not as stunning as it had been the first time I saw it, and as I sat there I wondered if I should leave; so I began to wander throughout the caves.

Being in the caves cleared my mind, and after a while I had forgotten my thoughts about leaving entirely.

But a painting that stood on the cave wall now in front of me made my heart stop.

The scene on this wall was much brighter than the others, it was in a way; fresher, but what was happening in it made my ears burn with fear and shock.

It was of the Northern packs camp. A sunset reflected off the ocean waves, turning it red. A fox with a pelt that matched the setting sun laid on the stepping stones I had once know so well; dark red glowing paint seamed to flow like blood from a wound on his neck.

Above him, on the cave that made the packs camp stood a fox, his purple eyes gleaming with content and his fur easily recognizable, for it had been burned into my memory by events I had once cherished, and had at one point, never wanted to forget.

"What are you doing here?" a calm voice asked from behind me.

"When did this happen?" I asked him, still facing the painting, though forcing myself to no longer gaze at the painful sight.

"Just a moment ago.." he replied then asking again he said "What are you doing here?"

"A friend of mine let me in." I said as I turned to face the new comer. For a moment I realized that I knew him. "Aqua?" I asked, startled at seeing his face again, after so many years of him being exiled.

"Icy." he said in a low voice. As he stepped back, unsure of what to say.

"Your a demon too?" I asked quietly.

"No," he said as he took a step back. "I'm not."

"Then why are you here?" I asked, he hadn't been gone that long from the pack, so if he hadn't died fighting then how else?

"I'm a Purifier." he stated. His voice holding no emotion.

"Did you do this." I growled.

"Yes."

"Why?" I snapped loudly, leaving my voice to echo around the walls.

"Because, it is my job to paint major events before they fade away as most memories do. Until the thousand days are up, I am in charge of painting all major events." Aqua said, he stood strait his voice emotionless as he spoke clearly.

I looked back at the painting, this was to much! How many more secrets would I have to keep from those I loved and why was it all being given to me?

Before Aqua could say anything more I pushed my way past him, running into the hall. Other caves rushed past me, no longer appearing as glowing works of art, now they we nothing more then streams of light that fled past my eyes.

Only when I reach the main cave did I slow down.

With out thinking I walked into the exit tunnel. It was just as dark and tight as it had been the first time. It felt slightly calming but after a few minutes of the silence dark thoughts filed themselves into my mind; worries of getting lost in this long dark tunnel, of turning a wrong direction and getting lost forever.
