"Fire!" Sal shouted, and everyone plugged their ears as their two cannons went off. One missed the enemy ship, but the other hit the main mast.

"Good shot!" Logan called. That will be able to slow the Deimos ship down, and they should be able to get away.

"Head towards the island!" Patton shouted. "Lower all sails! We need to get there fast!"

They had all seen the dragons that flew past. They wanted to shoot them down, but they were dragons! And they were obviously being forced to work for the riders. They were after Virgil, everyone knew this.

There was a familiar roar as Thunder landed on the boat. She scratched at the deck, clearly anxious.

"I think Virgil sent her for back up," Logan said.

"I'll go," Janus volunteered.

"I'm coming too!" Remus said with no room for argument.

"Will you two be okay?" Patton asked.

"Just give us some swords and we'll be fine."

"Janus, take my gun," Sal told him as she ran over.

"Are you sure?" Janus asked. "That gun is precious to you."

"Yeah, so you better bring it back to me in one piece." She handed it to him. "Otherwise I'll blow you up with a cannon."

Janus smiled. "Don't worry, I won't let it break. And I'll be sure to use it well!"

Elliot gave Remus a sword and pushed him towards Thunder. "You two need to get going, who knows how long Virgil and Roman can last by themselves!"

It felt like Virgil couldn't get enough air as he ran with Roman. He wasn't sure what the plan was, but he did know that the dragon's were gaining on them.

He couldn't help but smile when he saw something in the distance, something man made. That had to be the fountain! He glanced back to see where his brother was and his eyes widened in fear.

"GET DOWN!" he warned, shoving Roman down.

His back felt burnt as the fireball flew past them, but he knew he was fine. For now at least.

Fearful, he looked up and almost sighed in relief when he saw the fireball had missed the fountain. It looked like it was made of limestone, it was slightly covered in moss, though only on the outside. There was a wall on one end, where water was streaming out and into the pool.

Of course the feeling of success quickly washed away when the two dragons jumped in front of them, blocking the way to the fountain.

Derrek was on the back of one, and on the other were the other two guards. The dragon Derrek was on bucked for a moment, but with a quick whack from Derrek's whip it stopped. For a brief moment, Virgil's anger overwhelmed his fear. But it was a very quick moment since Derrek pointed a flintlock at him.

"You've given us quite the chase, dear brother," Derrek said, pulling back the trigger as both Virgil and Roman started to slowly get up.

"Derrek-" Virgil tried to reason.

"Prince Derrek to you."

"You don't want to do this."

"Oh but I very much do, I've wanted to do this for so long now. You should feel honored! You're being killed by the crowned prince of Deimos himself!"
