Sky's POV

I woke in the arms of a squid heading towards the water of a lake. Wait. Why does a squid have me ensnared in its tentacles? I teleported a few feet behind the squid, thus scaring the living day lights out of it. I just smiled as Dawn turned around just in time to see me wave at her, as I teleported to the lake over by the Base. I already started to feel the pain in my head again. Without intentionally meaning to, I screamed at the top of my lungs. I fell on my side clutching my head pleading to myself to make the pain stop. When it finally stopped, I then realized that I didn't have my sunglasses. Where were my sunglasses? Without them people would be able to see my glowing budder colored eyes. Which was a trait I inherited from my father. Along with the fact that I have all of his powers as well. I cursed under my breath for not realizing sooner, cause Dawn probably now knows that I'm part Brine. Well that's just great. I started to fall over, but was caught by someone.

"Don't worry King Sky, we won't let you get hurt again like last time"

Was that Soul? I lifted my head up to see if it was Soul. Once I did I passed out and was consumed by darkness once again.

Soul's POV

We went hunting as soon as the guys left to go save King Sky. Since we had nothing else to do with our spare time, the four of us decided to go hunting. We were on our way back, when I heard someone scream in pain. Don't ask me how I knew, I just knew. But right when I started heading towards the source of the scream, did I realized that the rest of the group were a little ways behind. But to me that doesn't matter right now, all that matters right now is who made that scream. I reached a lake that we've never been to before. Standing there a few feet away from me was the person I least expecting to see. I let out a little gasp at who it was. It was King Sky! He looked as though he was going to fall over at any moment, so I quickly ran over to him. By the time I reached him, I had caught him just in time.

"Don't worry King Sky, we won't let you get hurt again like last time" I told him as the others were catching up to us.

When they reached us, King Sky had fallen unconscious. I heaved him onto my back that way he was practically laying on my back, which made it easier for me to carry him. His head was on my shoulder and I could feel his hot breath on my arm.

"Well at least he's not dead" I thought humorously to myself.

The rest of the guys had finally reached us by the time I had King Sky laying firmly on my back. They all stared at me with shocked expressions, and let out a chorus of gasps as they saw that it was King Sky who was on my back. Then I don't know what got that idea into Sora's head, but she said something really unexpected...

"So you must really like King Sky don't you Soul? Geez you could've said something before running off" Sora teased.

I could've sworn that I blushed right then and there. But my embarrassment got the better of me.

"I-I don't like King Sky! He's a king, I'm just a recruit like everybody else. There's no way that he'd love me!" I said with my face turning red and a few tears were spilling over.
