The Battle For Sky Book 1: A Dark Secret

Chapter 32

Herobrine's POV

I just stared Damian, or Soul, as they laid there on the floor. Or I guess Soul was, I just don't know anymore...Not after what Damian has told me and my brother. I shook my head and looked at Notch as he picked Soul up in his arms and held her close like what I did with Sky back in the Nether when the squids tried to take him when he nearly died from a level XI (11) poisoning potion...I walked over to Notch and he look exactly how I looked...worried, happy, everything. I walked over to Sky and picked him up and placed him in his bed and Notch placed Soul next to Sky, and pulled the covers of the bed over the two of them. I chuckled a bit and Notch looked at me with a confused look on his face.

"Looks like I'm not the only person here with a son huh?" I chuckled at the end and so did my brother.

"Yeah I guess you aren't huh?" We chuckled as he said that and continued to place the boys in their beds and left them be before Notch turned over to see Paradox was also asleep as well...on the floor with his hair covering his eyes. I chuckled at the boy and splashed water on his face before he woke up slowly...I growled as he did so and splashed HOT water on his face and man did he wake up to that.

I fell over laughing as he ran over to the sink and stuck his head under the faucet with cold water running over his head. I stood up to see a wet Paradox with a very mad look on his face.

"What do you want Hero? There's got to be some sort of reason for you to wake me up when I was having such a NICE dream..." Paradox mumbled the last part as he glared at me through his still wet hair.

"Well Paradox...I want you watch over my son and Soul...I want you to do this but you're not the only one who'll do it...Noah, Q, and Mr. Puppy will help you do this. You'll have to guard your brother and Ty just to be safe..." I said trying real hard not to laugh at his shocked expression as I said this. His jaw was hanging open and he looked at me like I was his father saying that he was the new king.

He snapped out of it when Notch waved his hand in front Paradox's face. I could tell that something was wrong with him so I motioned for him to follow me over to the table that was covered in a bit of blood but not to much to be a distraction...I think. Paradox just kept on looking at the ground or looking at Soul and Jason from time to time.

"Paradox what is it? There's something wrong isn't there? I can tell by the look on your face..." I said in a straight forward tone. He was reluctant to answer until I let out a big sigh that got his attention almost instantly.

"It's that noticeable huh? Well you got me there Hero...I'm just surprised that my friend from a while back is still alive and my brother, or brothers, are here too...I'm happy and all but how are we going to protect Sky and Soul if they're in greater danger than they were to begin with!? I just can't wrap my head around it! I mean Dawnables wants Sky and Soul now. What will we do Herobrine!?" Paradox said with a worried look and was holding his head in his hands, while shaking his head back and forth in confusion.

I smiled a small smile at the boy and ruffled his hair. He tensed up a bit but relaxed when I stopped and looked at me with a real confused face with an arched eyebrow. I just laughed at his confused look which only made him even more confused. I pulled him into a tight hug which made him tense up again...Paradox just melted into the hug and I could hear him crying silently into my shoulder and all I did was let him cry...I didn't even bother to stop him...I just let him cry into my shoulder like when Sky witnessed that tragic event where Soul was injured by Dawn...I closed my eyes and started to cry a little but I blinked away the tears before breaking the hug to see that Paradox looked slightly better...aside from the puffy eyes, and tear marks down his face and the occasional sniffle that escape from him.

"What was that all about Paradox!? Your suppose to be stronger and better than this! But here you are earning pity from the holy god of destruction Herobrine! You are weak and pitiful!" Paradox muttered to himself as he scowled himself for being weak. But I of course heard him and I got angered at what he had said.

"Paradox! You are not weak and you don't have pity from me! You were getting support from me! Not pity you idiot! You're not pitiful and you can't always expect to the strongest and to be better than what you are! You are strong enough as you are! So tell me why were you tensing up when I went to pull you into the hug and when I ruffled your hair?" I asked as he just stared at me dumbstruck at what I had said.

"T-Thank you Hero..." He said and gave me another hug. I hugged him back and when we broke the hug he looked a bit happier after all of these turn of events within the last few minutes.

We both jumped out of our skin when we heard Sky scream awake and he looked as pale as a ghost. Sky looked around frantically before he saw Soul next to him. He calmed down a bit when he saw her next to him, but he lifted her up and held her close to him in one swift movement. Sky seemed to be really worried about Soul...But he was smiling as he laid his head on Soul's shoulder. Sky had Soul's head resting on his chest as he just sat there with Soul in his arms. He laid Soul back down before he walked over to us while rubbing his eyes and yawning every now and then.

"What's up with you Sky? You scared the living Nether out of us when you woke up screaming!" Paradox said as he laughed at the last part. When we looked back at Sky he was looking back over to Soul and he was practically shifting from foot to foot as though he was waiting for something. Pretty soon everyone was waking up and Sky seemed to calm down some more but not completely though.

"Sorry I um...Just had this really weird and horrifying dream that Dawn had killed Soul and that she had like twenty tentacles...I-I just got really scared there for a second is all..." Sky said as he looked back at the guys as they started to get up and going.

But then Soul started to wake up and Sky ran over to her as she woke up and she was just as scared as Sky was. She gave Sky a hug and he just hugged back as she cried into his chest. But they broke the hug and soon everyone was up and walking about and then my brother appeared and he clapped his hands to get everyone's attention...

"Attention everyone! May I have your undivided attention here for a moment? I'd like for you all to join me for dinner before you guys go back to the Overworld tomorrow..." Notch said and we all nodded our heads and followed my brother to the dining room to eat dinner with him one last time before leaving...
