Rose Tyler was living a fantasic life. After Journey's End, she lived with the Doctor's metacrisis. But he was never a metacrisis for her. He was the Doctor. Her Doctor.
The TARDIS coral the original Doctor had given them grew into a fully-functioning TARDIS within the next 2 years. The Doctor and Rose married, it was a small wedding, with the bride, groom, little Tony, and Pete and Jackie. No one else was invites, except a few friends from Torchwood who knew of Rose being from a different universe. And then the Doctor and Rose had set off to explore the universe. They'd return every week, spent time with their family; sharing stories of the alien worlds, how they saved a new planet, when they had to run from a army of blue lizards thingies, sharing gifts from interplanet markets. Sometimes they'd take Tony, Jackie and Pete too, and show them green skies and pink oceans. And it went on for years. All was good.
And then Pete died. Old age. And he was gone. Jackie couldn't bear the loss and died a few weeks later. Tony lived his own wife with his wife and kids. Rose was heartbroken. She lost her family. Again. She continued travelling with the Doctor, their trips to Earth decreasing. And soon the Doctor fell ill. He'd fallen ill before, being a human; but this was different. Rose piloted the TARDIS to the best hospital in the universe; but they couldn't do anything. A few days later, he died peacefully. With Rose at his side, the TARDIS standing behing, there was nothing else he could ask for. He'd lived his happy life with the people he loved the most. His own family.
Rose was left alone. Nowhere to go. No family. No one to talk to. She was alone. Again. How many times? Why her? Why only her? Twice at Bad Wolf Bay, the Doctor left her. Once on the worst day of her life, once on the one she started a new life. Life. Her life in London, before she met the Doctor. Her life with the Doctor, travelling through time and space. Life in a stranger world, as the Vitex heiress, trying to get back home. Life with the Doctor, her Doctor. And now, life. In darkness. She had the whole universe, all of time and space. But she didn't have a home. A family. Rose Tyler was left alone. Again. She sat in the TARDIS, not moving, not eating, without having a single sip of water. She sat there and she didn't know how long. The TARDIS was humming sorrowfully at the back of her mind.
She remembered the time she was trying to bond to the TARDIS. 2 months since the metacrisis Doctor.

Flashback
He's been doing this from the past few days. He'd spend most of his time in the basement, examining the baby TARDIS. It was about 1 and 1/2 feet now. She went down with 2 cups of coffee; gave one to the Doctor, who thanked her and continued with the work, and sat on the redbean bag.
'How's the TARDIS now?' She asked.
'It's growing slowly. Faster than usual though, thanks to Donna's genius. On Gallifrey, it takes hundreds of years for one TARDIS to develop comepletely.'
She sips her coffee and sits in the silence.
'I'm bonding with the TARDIS. Forming a telepathic connection. This stage is the easiest time to do that. Well.. why don't you do the same? It's our TARDIS. Both of us', said the Doctor, turing around to look at her.
Rose smiles and and sits next to the Doctor, leaving the coffee cup on the table and resting her head on the Doctor's shoulder.
'Right. Now I'll put some TARDIS waves in your mind. You'll be able to feel my presence and the TARDIS's. Just let us in.'
And by the time he finished, Rose started hearing a humming sound she recognised as the TARDIS at the back of her head.
'Rose,' came the Doctor's voice. He hadn't spoken though, and Rose knew it was a telepathic connection.
'Doctor'. She sent a note back, without opening her mouth.
It was the start to their adventures, and their forever happiness. Forever.
Flashback ends
