Everyone and everything had a beginning, the point where their story begins and continued until they met their end. For some, their endings were tragic, knowing only pain, regrets, and loss while others experienced bliss, melancholy, a sense of relief from their limited time in this world.

For Ye Rin, the ending was only the beginning.

From the moment her eyes shut, blurred vision of the moon, stained red as she took her last breath that fateful night centuries ago. She would awaken to find that no end would ever find her ever again. For she was trapped in eternity.

Baek Ye Rin was born on August 22nd, 1586, in Ares, a small village not far off from the kingdom of Lis. The youngest of two older sisters.

Her parents were poor farmers who barely scraped by to put food on their dinner table and regardless of it, Ye Rin was always content, happy that she had her family with her.

She would spend her free time exploring the woods behind her home, ignoring her mother's warnings of dangerous animals that lurked within. For the years she spent wandering the woods never had she ever come across a single threatening animal and late at night when everyone was fast asleep she would slip away, barefoot, rushing into the shadows of the trees welcomed by the moonlight as it lit her path. For this was her favorite thing of all, the moon.

She would spend hours sitting upon the dirt path, admiring the glow of the moon as it kept her company. Sometimes she would sing, others she would merely watch, eyes glazed until drowsiness overcame her and she was forced to bid her companion farewell.

Life was simple and despite how the years passed and she found herself grown into a twenty-year-old woman ready for marriage as her mother worded it, she remained loyal to her moon.

It isn't until the eve of her twenty-first birthday that everything changes.

It comes in the form of him.

Standing in the forest, in the exact spot, she frequents every night. His back is facing her, a mop of thick midnight blue hair sways with the wind as he watched the moon. She's caught off guard by him, has never seen another person here in all her years. Not wanting to alert him of her presence she takes slow steps back, opting to return to the safety of her home. Just as she nearly manages to slip away there's a loud snap that comes from under her foot and she registers it as a branch. Her heart seizes up in her chest as the sound echoes around the area alerting the stranger. He turns slowly, as though uncaring of an intruder.

It's when his face comes into view she finds her heart fluttering madly in her chest.

He's ethereal, captivating.

His eyes are mesmerizing, golden-honey irises lock with her own, holding her in place. His porcelain skin glows along with the moonlight and his lips are thick and red as they pull into a mischievous grin. It was like staring at a work of art, a sculpture too good for anyone to lay their eyes upon.

She doesn't realize she's gawking until he tilts his head in question.

There's a strange look in his eyes as they rake over her form. It sends a chill down her spine, she doesn't like it. Everything about him felt, wrong. He stares at her as though she were prey.

Clearing her throat she averts her gaze, hoping she can leave without having to speak a word to him.

"And who might you be?" comes his voice, soft, barely a whisper yet she hears it clearly.

Her stomach clenches in discomfort, "forgive my intrusion, I'll be on my way if you'll excuse me" she says not waiting for a response as she turns away.
