It's satisfying, watching the man who turned her life upside, crumble before her eyes. She can't help the smile that tugs at her lips as Jimin falls to the floor in pain. She stands, pulling her hand from Taehyungs, and looms above his weakened body.
Jimin looks up at her desperately, reaching out but freezes the moment he sees her smile. A look of pained understanding settling into his eyes.
Taehyung joins her, watching with an unreadable expression.
Watching as this monster suffers before her makes her want to throw her head back and laugh hysterically. For was this the man she had feared for so long? This weak, vulnerable person whom she felt not a single drop of remorse for.
He struggles as he gasps for breath, his skin pales significantly and she can see his veins protruding from his skin.
She spots something glistening down his face and upon closer inspection she realizes that he's crying. Tears bunch up at the corners of his eyes that remain locked with hers. Anger ebbs away at her for how could he cry when she had suffered more than anyone.
Hands shaking from her rage, she curls her lips into a smile never once breaking eye contact with him.
Even as his body ceased it's convulsing and his breath had become merely a whisper, she remains fixated upon him with a smile that she hoped would haunt him in his eternal slumber.
There's only silence, a thick, heavy silence that falls over them as Jimin's eyelids close and his body relaxes.
"Is that all? He won't wake up right?" she wonders aloud.
"It's done. He'll remain asleep for a long while unless given blood".
Of course, she wasn't planning on letting that happen.
Taehyung is silent for a while, merely staring at Jimin. Sighing shakily he clears his throat.
"I have a coffin prepared for him, it's better we put him there to keep his body safe. Until we're ready to wake him again".
She nods, unable to tear eyes away from the body. He appeared so peaceful, as though he wasn't just writhing in agony moments ago.
Taehyung carries him down the basement of their home and places his body in a large black coffin. Looking at him from this angle makes her shiver, he appears as though he would spring to life any moment and have his revenge.
Sealing the coffin shut after one last look, good riddance she mumbles, Taehyung loses his composure, face twisting in agony as he dropped to the floor in choked gasps and sobs.
His facade melts off as he trembles, rubbing his hands down his face.
"F-fuck, I- he's gone" he stutters out and she has to refrain from rolling her eyes.
Crouching beside him she pats his back reassuringly, only for him to reach out, slinging his arms around her body and tugs her close holding onto her tightly pressing his face into her shoulder as he cried.
They stay there for what feels like hours until his sniffles are reduced to silence and he stands looking away as he takes her hand and leads them from the basement.
"Let's keep it locked up for a while" he nods to himself.
Her heart is thrumming in her chest with anticipation, he was gone. After all this time, tortured and forced to live with that monster, she was finally free.
All that was left to handle was him, she thinks as she eyes Taehyung.
It isn't difficult.
