Chapter 2

Waking up, I remembered everything that happened in the forest. I mean, how could I not? When I was passed out I was dreaming that I had gotten out of the village and had lead a happy life without any bad things happening. I had found a cave in one of the mountains and because of scouts I was able to make a fire and hunt out some different animals with ease. My main point is, I survived.

It felt like I was lying down on top of a bed with silk covers, a luxury I was never given because my parents didn’t feel like I deserved it even though I had done nothing wrong. Keeping my eyes closed and breathing steady as if I were still asleep I listened to my surroundings. There was no sound whatsoever but then I heard the creak of a door handle somewhere on the other side of the room. It was hard not to panic as I focused on breathing steadily.

"Sir” a voice said from the other side of the room, not taking any care to how loud he was being.

“What? Don’t you knock?” another voice snapped quietly obviously trying not to wake me, but this voice was closer as if right next to the bed

“Sorry… but the thing is you have to hunt; you missed it yesterday when you had to deal with the…situation”

"Later” the voice next to me stated

“But-” the other voice started

“Later” the voice next to me declared

“Yes sir” I heard retreating footsteps and then the slam of a door. The thought of someone there, watching me the whole time scared me

“You can open your eyes now,” a voice said to me so close I could feel their breath on my face. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around the room I was in, the walls were a very dark shade of purple and on the opposite side of the room was a door. To the left of me there was a white set of 8 drawers, and on both sides of the bed were matching white bedside tables. I looked behind the bed and saw a massive door that must’ve lead to a very big walk in wardrobe then on the right there was another door with the word “bathroom” carved into it; this was the bedroom of my dreams. I then looked in the direction of the voice, it was a man who looked too gorgeous for his own good, he had chocolate brown hair and bright emerald green eyes and was wearing jeans and a t-shirt that clung to him showing off his fine body, he must have been about 20 years old.

As if he could sense what I was about to do, he rushed to my side and covered my mouth with his rather cold hand while I screamed through it, I stopped to take a breath then started screaming again all the while this man was just sat there on the bed with me making sure I wasn’t too loud.

“Are you done now?” he said, I nodded “are you going to let me say something?” he added, I nodded “ok I'm going to take my hand away now” slowly he removed his hand from my mouth “right, my name is Blake and first I'm going to ask you what is your reason for being in my forest?” I flushed at his question, more precisely at the word his, this gorgeous guy was the man everyone called a loner, a rich snob that keeps to himself. I found myself defending him as I was thinking that this man could not be any of those things, he just looked to kind and caring and I thought his name really suited him, but then again this guy was too handsome to be real. Wow I need to snap out of this, I'm falling or a guy who I don’t even know.

“Well I was trying to get out of the village” I shyly answered, a hint of hurt danced across his eyes but it quickly disappeared

“There was a road you know, that you could have taken” Blake answered smugly

“Oh…really?” I said, he nodded

“Do you really expect villagers to walk who knows how many miles to the nearest airport so they can visit their families in other places? Why do you think they have cars?”
