Chapter 7

“Are you kidding me?” I tried to speak calmly “I'm not in love with anyone” Blake nodded, with a look of uncertainty in his eyes “You don’t believe me” I stated, my voice getting louder.

“I-”

“You don’t believe me do you” he looked at me pleadingly

“I…uh-”

“Admit it”

“No, I don’t. I don’t believe you, mainly because I thought we were getting along at the ball. I thought that you might actually start loving me…that is until I read your thoughts. You thought something was helping me to hold back, I would be grateful for now. You don’t love me…no… you don’t want to love me. Why?”

“Because I’ve only just met you!” I screamed at him “Because you kidnapped me and wouldn’t let me go” I continued “Because you took me to a ball, expecting me to meet and get along with your parents before I can even try to get along with you!” I screeched “so don’t you even dare ask me why I don’t love you! You cannot expect someone to love you after knowing them for a couple of days!”

He sighed, “Your right”

“I cant-” I started screaming, then paused “I'm right?” I said it more like a question than a statement.

“I know this must be the second time I have said this, but still: I know I shouldn’t expect you to give into me so soon-”

“Who says I will give in at any time?”

His eyes pleaded with me “Please just let me speak”

I sighed, waving my hand for him to go on

“Right, so…like I said, I shouldn’t expect you to give into me any time soon” he rushed to go on before I said anything “since you came to me, all I have wanted is your happiness. That is all I could ask for, but you never smile at me like you smile at my brother, you never laugh with me like you laugh at the TV” he smirked, I chuckled.

“How can you expect me to, huh?”

“Why don’t you like me?” he asked, dismissing my question

I opened my mouth to speak, but closed it again when a burning sensation spread across my lips. Blake kissed me, which then led to me kneeing him where it hurts, him letting out a girly scream while I ran away feeling a sense of déja vu. I ran back into the dining room where Blake’s parents and Julie were staring at me with shocked expressions like they had heard it all. I saw Blake’s coat that I hadn’t realised he had brought with him and grabbed it mumbling something about Blake asking me to get it before I ran away again.

I ran down hall after hall, through door after door and down various sets of steps until I finally found the doorway to the castle. Fumbling in Blake’s coat while I walked out the door I found his phone and wallet. I looked through the contacts on his phone and saw a limo company contact, I phoned it and they somehow knew where I was. The annoying thing was I didn’t.

The limo came within five minutes and I hopped in so quickly that it was if my life depended on it, just as I told the driver where to go Blake ran out of the castle, he was obviously looking for me that whole time.

“Quick! Quick! Go!” The driver sped away

“May I ask why you are running away from Prince Blake?”

“I'm not running from Blake” dismissing the drivers nosiness.

“Then what are you running from?”
