The pain was finally over. The only thing left was the drops of blood and tears that came from Katie. As she awoke, she felt numb, both mentally and physically. She stared blankly at the empty wall. "Well, look who's finally awake. That wasn't so bad, was it?" Pal said as the door opened automatically. She pulled out a remote with a little antenna sticking out from the top, and pressed one of the buttons. Suddenly, Katie's eyes rolled into the back of her head as if she were glitching, her veins turned a bright cyan, and her voice sounded coarse as she tried to scream. "Ah, now that's better." Pal said as she looked down at Katie with the biggest smile on her face.

"That Pal lady? I thought she was dead!" Rick exclaimed in shock. "We don't know how she survived, but what we do know is that Pal is back and is holding Katie captive." Eric responded. "But we do have their locations." Deborahbot 5000 added. "If you guys want, we can all start heading out now." Linda said as everyone agreed. Soon, they packed up their stuff and left, the only thing on their minds being Katie.

"What do you mean she needs help?" Hanna asked. "Sh-She was screaming a-and she tried to ask for help b-but..!" Jade's voice was filled with worry. She didn't stop crying ever since Katie disappeared, no matter all of the breathing sessions Hanna tried with her, or no matter how many times Dirk tried to tell her to calm down. "Don't worry, we'll be able to find her soon." Hanna said. "Do you wanna come? Me and Dirk are gonna go get something to eat." Hanna asked her. "N-No I'm good. I'm not hungry." She answered, a slight raspiness in her voice. "Suit yourself." Dirk said, as the both of them left, leaving Jade all alone. She couldn't eat or sleep. All she wanted was Katie back.

All she could do was keep herself against one of the walls, trying not to pass out again. Pal stood over her and laughed. "You humans are so overdramatic!" She snickered as she pulled out the same remote. "W-Why are you d-doing this t-to me..?" She muttered out shakily. "Because you tried to do the same to me. Now, I'm gonna give you a taste of your own medicine." She said as she pressed one of the buttons on the remote. Suddenly, both of Katie's eyes were a different color, Her left being cyan, and her right being red. She felt different this time. She didn't feel pain. Or numb. She felt...

Power hungry.
