Chapter 8: Snap Out Of It!

Eric and Deb begged for Katie to snap out of it, telling her that what she was doing was completely against her will. But instead of coming back to her senses, she ignored the two, turning away from them.

She sat on what used to be Pal's throne, but after a bit of manipulation, she managed to take it over.

She turned to look at her family, their faces of grief not meaning anything to her. She laughed and got up from the throne, the sound of her heels clicking on the shiny floors.

She pulled out a remote and opened Jade and Aaron's pods. They both fell to the ground on their knees, their tears falling to the ground and their bodies shaking.

Katie bent down to Jade and gently put her head up, their faces meeting. Jade's breath was shaky.

Katie laughed at her a little. She got up and took Jade's hand, lifting her up to her feet.

"Come with me." She whispered evilly to Jade.

Jade was led to a white room, the same one where Katie was heartlessly tortured against her will. The blood was still there, though it was drying up relatively fast.

Jade gasped a little at the sight, as she also turned to look at Katie's neck while she wasn't looking.

She saw a black chip that read 'PAL' in blue inserted into the side of Katie's neck. It still had some blood left from the whole incident.

Jade connected the dots and found out that this was against Katie's will. She sat on a nearby white chair that stood abandoned in the middle of the room. 

Katie walked around her, the sound of her heels clicking breaking the eerie silence of the room. She stopped in front of Jade and turned to look at her slowly.

She slowly lifted her head up with her index finger and put her face closer to hers.

"Oh, you lost cause."

Jade gasped a little, more tears flowing from her eyes. Although she knew this wasn't the real Katie, it still hurt.

Jade tried to mutter out words. "Th-This isn't you...!" She shouted a little, immediately regretting her decision.

Katie's eyes widened slightly, her expression suddenly going angry to almost insane. She laughed. "Of course this is! This is what I've been meaning to do all along!" She snickered. 

"You and everyone else who have wronged me will get the same thing they deserve. The same thing that you guys put me through will be put onto you, and soon you'll want to take back those words again...!" She exclaimed.

"But- But we love you...and i-if we've ever did anything to hurt you we're sorry-" She was interuppted by something sharp near her jawline.

A knife.

"YOU'RE NOT SORRY, AND YOU NEVER WILL BE! JUST ADMIT IT, YOU WANT TO HURT ME!" Katie yelled, cyan and red tears flowing from her eyes.

She immediately composed herself, wiping the 'tears' from her eyes. She grabbed Jade by then hand and before Jade knew it, she was in the fun pod again.
