Ever since jeremiah had blown up the bridges, it was every man for himself.
I was by aparo Park, also known as jokerville, I had to be careful or I would be back in jeremiah's clutches.

I made my way through the streets trying to find some food for today,
I saw a tall figure and in his pocket was the outline of a gun, I walked towards him and bumbed my shoulder with his to grab his gun, but instead be grabbed my wrist.

"why pickpocket to fend for you life, when you can
Just kill yourself and be happy your not starving or scared at night?"
He pulled me towards him, but when I saw his face I froze, I tried getting his hand off of my wrist but it just tightened

"hello baby"

"jeremiah let me go!"

"no can do, I've lost you more than once already haha! This time your not leaving my sight"
Je digged in his pockets for a bit until he found what he was looking for, handcuffs.
He put one of the cuffs around his wrist then one around mine, making sure to do it tightly.

"let's carry on then shall we?" he put his arm around me and started walking towards a van, he got the key to the handcuffs, uncuffing his wrist and putting it on my other wrist, he then pushed me in the back of his van, whilst he got in the front to drive.

" your a long way from the gcpd aren't you?"

"I was in aparo Park when you blew the bridges, if I was to try get back to the gcpd I would be slaughtered, everybody hates cops"

"not me, oh no, I'm on love with one"

I kinda cringed and ignored him.

"ya know? I never thought that i would see you again, I thought you were over the water"

"Well I have been in jokerville for all this time, hiding away"

"from me?"

"yeah"

He was quiet after that, until I heard him rummaging about in the front of the van, about a minute passed and he sprayed something in my face, it immediately made me dizzy and I couldn't help but pass out.

When I opened my eyes, everything was hazy, once my eyesight was back to normal, I was still in the back of the van. I tried banging on the door, but that only resulted in someone opening it from the outside, and where I was practically throwing my body at the doors, I fell to the floor. I scurried to my feet, seeing some 'crazies', they all had their eyes on something, I looked at what they were looking at, I looked to my belt and saw my badge. I started running like mad, they were all chasing me. Getting out the map I had made a while back. I ran past arkham asylum, then city Hall, then stopped in front of the gcpd, instead of being open it was boarded up, I went to the back entrance and knocked quietly, when someone opened the door I said,

"officer l/n, let me in"

"y/n! How nice of you to come here, we thought you were on the other side of the river" it was Jim

"hi Jim"

"where were you all this time?"

"jokerville, jeremiah found me, put me in his van, some crazies let me out, saw my badge and started running after me, I have a map and I followed it back here"

"did any crazies see where you went?"

"nah, I lost them in siren territory"

"wow you ran all that"

"yeah"

Jim took me to my desk and I found my stash of emergency food and drink
I handed him some of it and he bowed his head at me, saying thanks, before he left, I said

"I wanna be on patrol"

"you can't, we only just got you back l/n, we can't lose you again your one of our best troops"

"it's either let me patrol or I walk out these doors with all my guns and knives and food, and patrol myself, or do a liz, and go to the narrows"

"I'm sorry y/n, you can't patrol here"

"I respect that, goodbye Jim"
I shook his hand and got all my emergency recourses out of my desk ;three guns with over 1000 rounds each, at least 3 years worth of food for an army, all you needed was water and it was filling, and around 20 litres of water, but I had a machine that went into a tree or river and it cleaned the water of germs and bacteria.

With my bag on my back, I took my last look at the gcpd, and with that I was off to fend for myself in Gotham City.
