Chapter 365

Gabby's POV: As I thought about whether I wanted to speak about the incident that starting all of this, I bit my lip because I was still shaken. And I was also stressing out about it. I wanted to forget all about this day but, I also needed my friend's help to get through this. God, what do I do? Turning to look at Matt, I bit my lip and didn't know what to do. I was about to answer when Matt grabbed my hand and rubbed it. "Gabby, if you are till too traumatized by this event, it's okay. You don't need to talk about it with anybody until you are ready."

Stella agreed with what Matt said. "Hey, he's right Gabby. If you aren't ready to talk about it...then you don't have to. We are just concerned for you." I then sighed while looking at her. "It's not that I am not ready to talk about it. It's that I am still processing everything. I mean, what daughter should reasonably have to say this sentence. My father came and confronted me at the place where my husband works just because he is mad that he's not allowed to see my kids. Oh and then he overwhelmed me, causing me to almost pass out. I was honestly scared. Thank god the trucks weren't in there, I could've hit my head on them."

Matt then bit his lip when I said that. Grabbing my hand, he intertwined our fingers before whispering to me. "I am glad that you didn't too. Honestly, I am just pissed that he even came. He knows that I am always going to be there. He should've never confronted you like that." Turning to look at Matt, I sighed. "Matt, I am his daughter. Of course he is going to try everything to get back into my good graces to meet his grandkids." Matt then looked at me. "You mean the grandkids he never wanted you to have?"

Severide then jumped in. "Hold up, what's this about him not wanting you to have had Matteo, Ella and Gabriel?" Matt sighed when he asked him that. "It's related to the aneurysm. For once me and him were in agreement all those years ago. He didn't want Gabby and me to have kids naturally. Just remember though babe, I am so happy that we did. I love Matteo and Gabriel." I nodded and agreed with him when he said that before laying my head down on his shoulder. Kissing my forehead, Matt then wrapped his arm around me more while holding me close.

Moving to cuddle up to him, I then went to tug the blankets up more while looking at Stella and Severide on the screen. "So, are you guys going to retaliate against him? I mean, you can't just let him get away with this." Matt then looked at me and bit his lip. "I am going to go talk to him in jail. I want to reinforce it to him that he is not welcome in our lives. He has caused too much stress to Gabby and he is not going to meet any of his grandkids. He is a complete jerk and honestly, I do not even consider him to be my father-in-law. He is a monster in my opinion."

Going to grab the food Matt had on the bed, I then looked at him. "Can you open it? I want to start eating." Matt then looked at it. "Right, sorry." Going to grab the wings, he opened them. "Or do youw ant the salad first?" I then smiled. "Salad first please." He agreed and nodded before going to grab the salad along with some forks which Antonio gave us. Opening the salad, he then gave me a fork so that I could eat supper with him. Stella then looked at the food. "That Molly's?"  I nodded and agreed. "The only restaurant we order from."

Severide agreed. "Yeah, because you get free food!"  I agreed. "That and because we would rather support our restaurant rather than another restaurant. I mean, even if we did pay...we would just get the money right back. Doesn't make any sense at all." I then turned to look at Matt when he said that. "I always pay when Diego is working though. They get a percentage as a delivery fee." Stella then looked at me. "Then sign Severide up for shifts. Sorry but, we need more money for diapers. And college is going to be expensive."  Severide then shook his head.

"Stella, Stephen isn't going to college." Stella was mad when he siad that. "Excuse me?" Severide just looked at her and sighed. "He's going to the fire academy when he's old enough. You really don't think that he's going to want to be a firefighter like his parents?" I agreed with him. "Sorry girl but, I can't believe I am going to say this....I am on his side when it comes to this. I fully expect him to go to the fire academy and join his dad on squad when he can. That means that Severide isn't retiring until he's around 60." 

Severide nodded and agreed. "By the way Matt, you are going to fasttrack him when he joins the house. I want him to be my Lieutenant and then replace me as Captain." Matt sighed when he said that. "Severide, I can't promise that. Let's just see what my son wants to do first. If he wants to be a member of squad...then I am promoting him first. Sorry but, I can finally have my dream back." Gabby was confused when I said that. "What do you mean?" I then smiled. "My dream where it was going to be Captain Casey and Lieutenant Dawson. But now it'll be Chief Casey and Captain Dawson." 

Turning to look at him, I was shocked. "Why would he be Lieutenant and/or Captain Dawson?"
