Chapter 382

Matt's POV: After sleeping for another 2 hours. I smiled when I felt Gabby kiss my cheek softly. "Matt, you might want to wake up. It's late enough now for breakfast." I then smiled when she said that before going to roll over on top of her. I smirked and then looked down at her. "Yes, but my breakfast is right here." Gabby smirked when I said that before going to kiss me softly. "God, I love you so much." I smiled when she said that before going to lay down on my back again since we already went pretty far last night. Grabbing her hand, I went to intertwine our fingers. "How are you? I mean...compared to last night. You think this was the right call for us?"

Gabby nodded and smiled when I said that. "Oh, definitely. This wasn't just the right call...it was the only call. We needed this time to just be alone without the kids. I needed time with you to relax." I smiled when she said that and nodded before moving to sit up a bit. Gabby then knew what I wanted and moved close to me while leaning against the pillows like me. Slipping her legs in between mine, she smiled as I moved my hand to her hip. "I just want to go over some of the important stuff we talked about though okay? Is that okay?" Gabby nodded as she put her hand on my chest and smiled.

"First and foremost, you and the kids are always going to be at the top of my list. I am so sorry that I didn't see all that stress you've been under. And I don't want to just be your husband when you need me. Gabby, I am your husband and I want you to be okay with talking to me. I promise right now. I am going to be there for you. Whatever you need, just tell me we need to talk and I will do whatever I need to enable that to happen as soon as possible."

Gabby nodded and agreed with me when I said that. "Maybe we can talk every night when we are in bed. Sorry but, I am not sure if I want to do overnight at the firehouse anymore. If you are going to those 24 over 48 hour shifts...then I want you to come home every night." I nodded and agreed with her. "Let me see, a chance to spend sexy time like this every night...even when I have to work, count me in." I then brought her close to me before kisssing her softly. "I love you." Gabby smiled when I said that and nodded. "I love you too."

Rubbing her arm as we sat close to one another, I just looked into her eyes. "I am glad we have talked this all out. I can see now that it's been really bothering you." Going to push a strand of hair behind her ear, I smiled. "You seem so much more relaxed compared to when we came here last night. I mean, I hope it was the talking but...it could've also been the sexy time we had last night." Gabby laughed when I said that and nodded. "By the way, no work today. You got the day off so you can spend time with me and the kids." 

I nodded and agreed with her. "Yes, 72 hours of undivided attention from daddy and your husband." Gabby smiled when I said that and nodded. "Hermann already promised that he is going to take care of the reports anyways so, I have that covered too." Gabby smiled and agreed with me as I grabbed her hand. "Now that's the sight I like to see. You all relaxed, smiling and laughing with me." Gabby smiled when I said that. "You know what I want to do right now though?" I then looked at her and shook my head. "What?"

Gabby smiled at me. "I want to go take a swim with you. I know you probably like being in bed but...this is a time for us to go do stuff that we don't normally do. So what do you say we go take a swim? Then we can come up and her, get dressed and check out. After that, we can go drive the Tesla to the waterfront and take a walk down there. Just me and you." I smiled when she said that before leaning in to kiss her softly. "That sounds perfect. Breakfast before or after the swim?" Gabby then smiled. "Can you order some food? I am taking a shower."

I was confused when she said that. "Why? We are going for a swim." Gabby then laughed when I said that. "Not when I am smelling like sex." I nodded and understood what she meant. "Right, of course. Listen, I will order us something simple. Just some bagels or do you want eggs too?" Gabby smiled. "Just bagels. Bring your swimsuit and a shirt into the washroom. We aren't staying too long." I nodded and agreed with her. "Of course." Tugging her close, I went to kiss her softly before smiling as I watched her get up. Grabbing her towel, Gabby walked over to her bags.

Grabbing her swimsuit, Gabby smiled at me before going to walk into the washroom so that she could get in the shower. Meanwhile, I went to grab the phone so that I could call room service and order us some bagels for breakfast along with some orange juice. Once that was done, I went to grab my towel before also walking over to our bags so that I could go join Gabby in the shower.
