Outer POV
"Captain!" Nate said running down the hall to his Captain's quarters.
"What? What's going on?" she said.
"We have a mission."
"What, at this time? We can go tomorrow morning and time-travel like we always do. I was about to go to bed," she declared.
"Ava, we really need to go now!" Nate said with a freaked out voice.
"Ugh ok let me just change," Ava said as she closed her doors. She changed and got to the bridge where Nate, Mik, John, and Behrad were waiting.
"Umm no, you'll need to change."
"Well I know, I was just waiting to hear what the mission was first so I can change into the appropriate clothes for whichever era we're headed to," she explained.
"We need to hurry, so no time to explain, but come with me, I'll pick it out for you," Behrad said.
"You guys don't make sense." She gets pulled by the arm by Behrad and shouts back: "And where is the rest of the team?!"
In the fabrication room, Berhad messes with the buttons on the fabricator and hands Ava clothes. He leaves after telling her that she can't change, she has to wear what he gave her.
Ava grunts and looks at the clothes. "No way. What kind of mission requires me to wear this?!" she whispers to herself. Over the years, she has learned that it is sometimes best not to question her team. She trusts her team and they trust their Captain.
The boys, including Berhad who came back, on the bridge, are excited. They keep moving and jumping around. Until. Until they see their Captain with a tight, silk white dress and cleavage for days! She's not wearing a bra but it barely shows. Her beautiful blonde hair in curls, flowing around and natural makeup applied. Her matching, thin-long strap purse slung over her shoulder and high heels making her legs and butt look amazing. She wore a thin silver chain that sat on her collarbone and matching bracelets, rings, and earrings. They all stand there mouth agape. They never thought of Ava that way. She was never more than their Captain: one of the boys.
"What the hell is this? This is NOT me! I would never wear that."
"But you look beautiful!" Nate said, the gentleman he is.
"Hot." Mick said, the apathetic man he is.
Ava ignored his comment with an eye roll and asked: "Seriously, can't you tell me where we're going? This is," she pointed her outfit, "a lot."
"Ok but be honest Ava... you feel really good don't you?" Behrad asked with a sly smile.
"I- I don't- ... fine yes, I look amazing and feel amazing and smell amazing, what's the perfume?"
"Oh it's called Sunset and Roses. I programmed it in the fabricator," Berhad said.
"We better go now," Nate said.
"Oh! Yes, yes." John opened a portal and they all pushed Ava through it before she could object.
"Is this..." her eyes landed on the people, the lights and the dancing half-naked women, " a strip-club?!" she yelled over the loud music.
"Yes!"Mick shouted and walked away, to the bar.
"Mick! Ugh, okay, what's the mission?" she asked Nate, Berhad, and John.
"Lighten up, love. There is no mission," John said in Ava's ear and walked away with Berhad.
Ava stood there with a confused face and when she realised, her eyes widened and she turned her head to Nate who had a guilty expression on his face and a small smile. "Bring me back Nate."
