It's Okay, She's Here

Short chapter

Ava and Sara are following Gary when Nate runs up to them. "Oh! There you are. Mick needs help," he pants.
They immediately start running with him except for Sara, who stops when she hears noise from down the hall. As she gets closer, she hears a song.

'Space girl, floating away'

She's heard that song before but she can't quite remember where. She follows the sound and it leads her to the library. She opens the door and there he is. Her worst nightmare. So many questions are running in her mind and she can't think clearly.

"Sara! How nice to see you again! How about we catch up?" he says with a smile.

Sara has trouble thinking straight. Her thoughts are everywhere but the most prominent one is she needs to be with Ava, as cheesy as it sounds. Her time on PlinyX19 is linked in her brain to longing for Ava. Trying to get to her. That's why her thoughts immediately go to Ava when she sees him. She won't let him take her away from her fiancée and her team again.

"We have nothing to talk about," she says sternly.

"Ohh, now now Sara, don't be so cold! Don't you remember how much fun we had?" he says smiling.

"WHAT are you doing here? I thought I made it clear I didn't want to help you. In fact, I thought I destroyed you."

Bishop starts laughing. "You really thought you destroyed me?" He starts babbling about how she did prevent him from uploading his conscience in the cloud but how she didn't prevent him from making allies. Some computers weren't affected by the explosions and so her lived. He still couldn't upload to the cloud but when AVAs that were still on his side told him about Kayla, he ordered them to save her. And so Kayla owed him. Which is why and how they are on the Waverider.
Sara can't take this anymore. She throws herself at him and he fights back. Some punches here, some punches there, they both receive quite a lot of hits. Sara remembers what he did to her and all those clones and becomes stronger. Being one step ahead of him with his every move, she finally knocks him out.
Sara looks down at him and she can feel fear creeping back up. She obviously hasn't recovered from her trauma. Tears threaten to fall but she holds them back when she hears people approaching.

Nate, Gary with his glasses and Ava enter the room. They look down and see the body of Bishop. Seeing her face makes the remaining of her anger go away but the tears threaten to come back again.

"How did y-"

"Gideon told us you needed help. Are you okay Sara?" Gary asks.

"I'm fine!" She really isn't. She gives out orders so she can leave and they won't see her cry: "You two, take him to the lab quick and lock him up. Gideon tell me when he's up." And she walks out of the room.
Ava follows her, knowing something is definitely wrong with her fiancée.

Sara walks to the storage closet and closes the door behind her.  Soon after, she hears a soft knock on the door.

"Sara? It's me." She was about to say more but Sara quickly opens the door, and engulfs her in the biggest hug.

Ava is surprised by this but just let's it happen. She closes the door and hears Sara sob in the crook of her neck. "What is going on my love? What happened?"

"Bishop," she whispers and Ava tenses up at the name.

"That was Bishop?" Ava asks and takes Sara's head in her hands to look into her eyes.

Sara nods her head and more tears fall down her cheeks.

Ava has so many questions but knows right now is not the right moment to ask them. Right now, Sara needs comfort and after they'll discuss what is going on.

She slowly pulls in Sara and lays a lingering kiss on her forehead. Sara sighs and slowly kisses Ava on her lips. She needs to feel that Ava is really here and that she isn't in the same situation she was in on Pliny. This time, Ava's here, her team is here and Bishop is being locked up.

She pulls her lips away and burrows her face in Ava's neck again. They stay like that until Gideon interrupts them about 30 minutes later.

"I am sorry to interrupt Captains, but our prisoner has woken up."

"Okay, look at me. You don't have to this but I know you. I know you'll still go no matter what I'll say but I just want you to know that I'm here for you. And you can tell me what happened on the way there. Okay?"

Sara nods and they walk fast to the lab while Sara explains.
