TRIGGER WARNINGS: Mentions of war
After you left Hotch's office you didn't go home, instead you went to one of your best friend's house. You pull up at her apartment and knock on the door after about a minute she finally answers the door
"Y/N?!"
"Hey E god I've missed you so much!" You smile and hug her
"And you don't think I've missed you?! What are you doing here?" She asks
You enter her apartment and sit on the couch
"Earlier today after we hung up on the phone when I went to go sit back at my desk there was a note" You say sadly
"Oh god what did it say?"
"oh comme tu m'as manqué ma douce fille nous serons ensemble bien assez tôt amour, mère" you say
"as-tu dit à Hotch?" (Did you tell Hotch)
"avant que j'en ai l'occasion, derek a été abattu" (Before i got the chance, Derek was shot)
"oh mon dieu est-ce qu'il va bien?"
(Oh my god is he okay?)
"ouais hes okay Spencer a dit qu'il a perdu beaucoup de sang mais ils ont pu sortir la balle"
(Yeah he's okay, Spencer said he lost a lot of blood but they were able to get the bullet out)
"mais de toute façon, derek a été tué à cause de moi"
(But anyway, Derek was shot because of me) you say
"Non" (No) she says
"quelle?" (What?)
"ne te blâme pas pour ça" (Don't blame yourself for this) she says
"J'ai besoin de retrouver mes parents, une fois qu'ils m'auront ils laisseront mon équipe tranquille"
(I need to find my parents once they have me they'll leave my team alone)you say quietly
"Y/N non, sais-tu ce qu'ils te feront s'ils te trouvent?"
(Y/N no, do you know what they'll do to you if they find you?!) She exclaims
"des hommes vous ont kidnappé et torturé en Irak pour l'amour de Dieu!" (They had men kidnap and torture you in Iraq for gods sake!) She says angrily
"E I don't know what else to do they're trying to murder my friends for gods sake!" You say angrily
"I know Y/N but getting yourself killed isn't the answer!"
"Well maybe it should be!" You yell
"I'm tired of living like this E! I want to have a normal life where I don't have to worry about the people I love being shot or blown up!" Tears start streaming down your face
She opens up her arms and wraps you in them you sob and she hold you close
"I'm scared E" you sob
"I know babe I know but going on a suicide mission isn't the answer you need to plan this out right we'll find them I promise, you're not alone love" you says stoking your hair
"Come on you can stay here for the time being and we can work together on this" she says
"Okay but I need to go back to my apartment first and get some clothes and see Spencer" you say wiping your tears
