"Y/N!" Spencer exclaims walking up to you
"Spencer!" You say throwing your arms around him he picks you up and spins you around, you giggle he pulls away and leans in for a kiss
"The uniform looks good on you" he says
"Like a girl in uniform Dr. Reid?" You smile
"Maybe" he laughs
He grabs your bags and leads you out of the airport
"How are you?" He asks
"I'm okay" you say only half meaning it
You get in his car and drive off he heads to your apartment and you both get off. You open your apartment door and set your bags down
"God it feels good to be back" say sitting down on your couch
"So what did I miss?" You ask Spencer
"Uh not much oh! JJ is pregnant again" he says
"What?! That's amazing!" You say
"Yeah it is" he says looking away. Something is off about him he seems..... distant
"Hey what's wrong you seem a little distant" you say
"No nothings wrong" he says unconvincingly
"Spencer what aren't you telling me?" You say
He doesn't look at you he just looks down at the floor
"I'm so sorry Y/N" he whispers looking down
"What Spencer?"
"While you were gone the team found a lead about Ms. Mafia" he says
Your heart sinks but you try to hide it
"Okay and? Why are you apologizing" you say
"Well we went to a location to try and find some of her men and get information but when we arrived they weren't there"
"Okay?"
"Well Hotch got so mad about it and when we got back to the BAU he demanded that we all get back to work to try and find more leads he said you told him to that this case was important to you, that it needed to be solved when you got back"
"I thought it was odd that he reacted that way it was almost like this was personal. So I went to talk to him and I asked him why he was acting like this" he admits
"Okay well what did he say?"

"He didn't say anything. But I couldn't let it go..."

"So I went to Garcia"

"And?"
"We did some digging and it took about three days to finally back track it to someone involved with Ms. Mafia and the mob" he says look up at you
