Waiting for More Than Life

To accept the giving of Life,
is to forgive the emissary of Death.
Those who shed no Tears
For people who they Love
Are far too heartless to ever meet the End
Or perhaps they are simply just Waiting

Today they are Waiting
For the renewal of Life
Until they reach the End
And accept the peace of Death
Which always brings Love
Alongside their companion’s Tears

Scare away tomorrow’s Tears
Because we are not always Waiting
For a reckless kind of Love
Sometimes we watch our Life
Through other people’s Death
To the ever-moving End

Remember where the ruins End
And where there are beginnings of Tears,
Whispered quieter than the words of Death
Find the few who are Waiting
For a place they can call Life
And a morning that they can Love

We are the bringers of Love
The seekers of the beginning, middle, and End
Those who have forgotten the taste of Life
And who laugh alongside our Tears
We are Waiting
But we never receive Death

Hope cannot conquer Death
Just as despair will not vanquish Love
There is no more Waiting
Now they will bring the End
With a battle cry of a million Tears
And a passionate resolution to Life

For we can have Death without an End,
And Love that gives way to Tears,
But we cannot keep Waiting for more than Life
