Anna was surprised when Ms. Pam called her. She hadn't even settled in where she was yet but she had to go. Anna kept replaying the conversation in her head.

"Anna a could a weh yuh gone eeh. Yuh nuh see Noah tek sick and deh ya a dead?" Ms. Pam didn't even bother to greet her and went straight to the point. She was exaggerating of course, she needed Anna to come before Noah woke up.

"What do you mean sick? I saw him this morning." Anna was puzzled by this revelation. Noah was fine in every sense of the word when she last saw him two hours earlier. Dread ate at her. However complicated the relationship they had she loved him and didn't want to see him hurt.

"Yuh need fi come home cause mi nuh doctor and mi cwaan carry him guh deh." Ms. Pam hung up on her. She knew Anna was on her way. She knew how much the poor girl had fallen into her plans.

Anna got home as fast as she could; Aaron running in front of her. Aaron was probably more worried than Anna was. Aaron saw Noah as his best friend and he didn't want to lose him like he did Maggie.

When they got there Noah was sitting on the verandah. He was surprised to see them but he wasn't complaining. She ran up to him and knelt at his feet holding his face in her hand. She was checking for injuries and signs of illness.

"Are you okay? Ms. Pam said you were sick." She was worrying about him and Aaron was breathing down his neck. Noah was confused, he had no idea what she was talking about but he welcomed the attention.

He took her hands into his. "Am fine now." He answered sincerely. He held her hands in his and kissed her fingers. "I thought you would never come back. I have been through so much today with you gone." He shook his head at the revelations that hit him earlier in the day.

Anna sat on her heels. She was tricked, he had Ms. Pam of all persons to call her and trick her. She shook her head at how stupid she had been. "Aaron let's go." She whispered "Say goodbye to Noah." She was not going to play games with him, he was going too far with this.

He couldn't just trap her like he did. She got up and turned away from him. He was not going to let her leave him again. "Wait. Please don't go." He grabbed onto her wrist. Pulling her back to him he held her close.

Anna whimpered, she had no idea why she was tearing up. She got so emotional around him and he knew just what to do. Noah wouldn't watch her go. He would follow her before he would lose her.

"I want to stay mommy. Can I stay?" Aaron asked. Aaron hated the new place, hated the fact that Gary owned it. He could stay with Noah while his mother stayed elsewhere. Noah wouldn't mind.

"No. You have to come with me." She deadpanned. She would not leave him here. She tried to pull away from Noah. "I lost my job today." Noah whispered and he felt Anna tense. He let her go and watched her reaction.

"Why?" she crossed her fingers and hoped it wasn't her fault. "Am sorry Noah but I don't regret hitting him." she was not going to let any man treat her like that. Like some cheap whore.

"Me either." Noah was surprised by her laugh. He longed for the sound and allowed it to wash over him. "You...hit...him." she was convulsing with laughter.

"Of course, he disrespected my woman." He whispered but she heard him. She seemed shocked at what he said. She coughed lightly trying to regain some of her conscious mind. He was doing things to her.

"Am your woman?" she asked cheekily hoping to make his words easier to swallow. He held her to him once more and this time she was willing. "Yes, you just don't know it yet." He leaned forward and pecked her lips. He was fully aware that Aaron was present and watching.

"But si ya. Yuh betta aready bwoii." Ms. Pam leaned onto the doorframe that lead to the living room. She was smiling as if she knew something everyone else didn't. Maybe she did.

Ms. Pam left the young folks to copulate. Her work here was done and she could rest easy knowing that she had fulfilled Maggie's true wishes. Maggie was one of her best friends and she never did complain about her habit of borrowing her food.

Truth was she did not need half the food that she took. She only wanted to bond with Maggie when everyone else were scorning her. Maggie was a good girl wah mek Marlon lead her to cubby, but in the end she had Noah. Her pride and joy.

The first phase of their plan was in motion. Maggie would have been happy about the outcome. Ms. Pam hadn't expected Marlon to come around so soon but no better time to air the dirty laundry.

Ms. Reeves was a snake from hell just like har mada and Ms. Pam could not wait to see her face when phase two of her plan kicked into motion. Ms. Pam released a cackle at her thoughts as she deposited her stolen goods next to the rest.

Noah was more than happy to help Anna with her stuff and get Aaron settled in his room again. They were home and come what may they were his new family. He wasn't ashamed of the fact that he loved them and he would do his best to make them comfortable enough to stay indefinitely.

He knocked on Aaron's door. "It's open!" Aaron shouted as he pause his game and cut the tv off. He quickly hid his controller behind him. He exhaled when he noticed it was Noah and not his mother.

"Hey kid tomorrow is Saturday what about a beach day?" Noah asked as he sat on the little boy's bed. "Yay!" the little boy shouted bouncing up and down. Noah was glad he approved all he had to do now was convince Anna.

"What do you really think about me being with your mommy?" Noah asked and held his breath as the child searched for words to say. "You make mommy happy but kissing her...gross." The little boy pulled a face and Noah laughed launching himself at the boy and tickling him.

When their laughter died down he asked the big question. "What if I were to marry your mother? I would be around all the time." He chuckled as he said this. "And of course kissing your mother." Aaron was puzzled.

"But you already do that." The little boy stated and Noah smiled. "Yes." Noah answered "But I would kind of be your dad." Noah stated and he studied the boy. He had no idea if it was a touchy subject. He himself had daddy issues.

Aaron pondered on what Noah said. "Okay." Was his answer and it was Noah's turn to be confused. "Okay?" he asked and the child shook his head yes.
