It’s cold- that’s the first thing that came to my mind. Asan ba ako? Slowly, I opened my eyes and realized that I was lying on the floor of our living room. How’d I get here? Did I faint? Hay, makabangon na nga lang. I stood up and got the shock of my life when I turned around and saw my body still lying on the floor. How’d that happen?!!! Napaluhod ako sa tabi ng katawan ko. Slowly, I brought my hands towards my still body. I was about to touch my neck to check for a pulse but my hand just went through. I hurriedly pulled my hand back. “What the?!” I muttered to myself. Before I could fully process what just happened, the front door rattled open. My mother came in. My elder sister was closely following her behind. I was expecting my mother’s leg to collide with my back, but no. Instead, her leg just went through me. I felt colder than ever. When I looked up, a look of horror and shock was evident on her face. Her eyes and her mouth were wide open and her hands were shaking. I heard my sister gasp. Mukhang napansin na rin niya ako. And as they stared at my unmoving body with shock, I finally understood what happened--- I died.
