Manami was a rather quiet girl, manipulative yet poise. Daughter of Kiku Honda along with her sister Aya, intelligent yet clueless, affectionate too. Representing his nation, Kiku was proud, yet ashamed. Ashamed to keep his real life a secret. "Kiku, Kiku dinner is ready" Manami addressed. After some small bangs and thumps, quietly he appeared. "Arigato Manami-chan" Kiku smiled softly. "Daddy! Will you anime with us after dinner?" Aya chirped curiously. Kiku frowned, averting eye contact. "Sadly I have work Aya-chan, maybe another time" he murmured. Upon that slight conversation, their meal was quiet, the tension hanging on a thin thread. "Kiku.....I wish to talk with you after we have finished" Manami requested. Kiku stared at her with his cloudy brown orbs, nodding his head slightly. Aya looked to her sister with a questioning look, she knew what she was up to, she always did. Quickly cleaning up, efficiently, Manami made her way to Kiku's room. "Kiku I am entering" she called respectfully. Quietly the smaller Japanese girl approached the man, sitting down under the kotatsu. "I reassure you understand why I am here father" Manami questioned, receiving a nod she continued with her array of questions. "why did you join the mafia?" Her quiet voice hissed, normally she was respectful and happy around her father but his sudden coldness affected her. Kiku remained silent, not a word escaped his mouth. Manami pursed her lips in irritation, rage building. "Answer me" Manami spat, still no response. Fed up she stood up and left the room, or so Kiku believed she did, hiding outside the door she stood encased in darkness. Manami knew Kiku was working for the mafia Yao controlled. That was the same reason Kiku, Manami and Aya all left Yao's protection, they feared they were not safe. since that day Kiku had constantly been pestered to join, refusing every time, up until now. As Manami glared through the crack, she knew their father could not protect them anymore. Aya walked up to her sister, quietly addressing her. "You don't trust daddy do you?" Aya questioned, Manami sighed, patting her head. "Hai I don't" she whispered. Aya peered through the crack in the door, seeing Kiku's work. Before she could see anymore, Manami, had covered her eyes. "Aya you don't need to witness that" she spoke, her voice fading out quietly. "Let's go to bed" Manami sighed. Her little sister held her hand securely to calm her, which was successful. Together they shared a futon, Manami holding Aya close. "Sweet dreams Aya" Manami sung softly, stroking her sisters head. Manami refused to sleep, awaiting for complete silence to consume the house. "Midnight....it's time" Manami whispered. Gently Manami shook Aya awake. "Aya it's time get your things" Manami said with a monotoned voice, her sister obeyed, picking up her belongings. Manami did the same, throwing her bag on her back, katana by her side. Sneakily opening the window, Manami jumped out, landing in the trees and climbing down the branches. "Come on Aya jump out" Manami called out. Aya was shaking in terror, "I-I can't do it" she stuttered. Manami knew her fear of heights would be a problem. "Aya I will catch you" Manami reassured her, her voice was soothing hoping her sister would have the strength to jump. "O-ok here I g-go" she shook. Aya jumped from the window, her eyes closed. when she opened them she was in the embrace of Manami. "I promised you didn't i?" Manami giggled, hugging her sister. After their short embrace, the dashed through the city to the airport, making their swift escape for their lives.
