"Mommy!" My daughter yelled as she ran into my room walking me. "Something's wrong! Come on!"

I followed her out into the living room where I could see Bucky was having a nightmare. "Honey, what are you doing out here this late?" I asked her as I carried her to her room. I didn't want her to be scared when Bucky wakes up.

"I just wanted water and I was gonna ask for help." She explained.

"Well, everything's gonna be alright dear." I comforted her as I laid her down. "Sometimes Bucky gets nightmares, just like you he likes to hear stories to help get rid of the nightmares. You get some sleep hun."

I walked back to the living room and Bucky was tossing and turning. He was clearly in distress. "Bucky." I spoke firmly as I shook him awake. "Bucky!" I raised my voice.

He quickly woke up. "Where is she, where is my doll?! I- I need her. I- I love her." He began to cry as he woke up. "Y/n. I'm sorry, I didn't hurt you or anything did I?"

"No of course not," I answered. "Freya told me you were having a nightmare."

"Oh no, Freya." He said as he dropped his head in his hands and sat up on the couch. I got up and sat next to him. "Is She okay?"

"She's a brave little girl. She was mostly worried about you." I told him. "I am too, I thought you had the nightmares under control?"

"No, you had them under control Y/n." He sighed as I gave him a confused look. "You kept me calm in my sleep, when I woke up you were always there. Six years ago you weren't there anymore and the nightmares came back. They're different now though."

"You wanna talk about it?" I asked, he shook his head. "Alright well, how about we go throw knives in the yard?" He nodded. " I'll get the targets from the garage, you grab the knives, I'll meet you outside."

I rested my hand on his cheek and turned his face towards me. He looked at me and I could see the pain from his nightmare in his eyes. I pulled him close and kissed on gently on the cheek before heading outside to the garage to grab our old targets. My target was unchanged but I could tell that Bucky's target has been heavily used.

I walked out to the backyard where I saw Bucky waiting for me with each of our sets of knives.

We began our knife throwing for a while, and for a bit, it was just in silence. "Alright ask some questions," I told him. "I know you like talking while we do this so go ahead. Nothing too personal."

"Do you enjoy being a queen?" He chuckled.

"Yes, I do very much. Technically I wasn't supposed to become Queen." I answered. "But after my parents died Thor wanted to retire, and Loki wanted to do the honorable thing by allowing me to take my own birthright. That's why they sent the Bifrost to take me back to Asgard."

"That's why you left then?" He asked. I nodded my head. "Did you get remarried?"

"Bucky I said nothing too personal." I sighed.

"Well, I'm serious. Do the people of Asgard call you Queen Odinsdottir? What's your new last name?" He questioned as he went back to throwing knives.

I paused. "I don't have a new last name," I answered. He looked at me. "They call me 'Your majesty' most of the time. Though I do try to keep it more casual so they call me Y/n Barnes. Which is my name. Is that the answer you wanted?"

He sat in silence for a moment. "Why did you keep my name?"

"Because we were married. I loved you and saw no reason to change my name when I was coronated as a single queen with no king by her side." I responded. "I can change it if you'd like?"

"No, no you're fine. I just wasn't expecting you to keep the name." He responded. "Y'know since I haven't even seen you wear the necklace. You were still wearing it after assuming I was dead."

I chuckled. "Gosh, you're blind."

There was another pause. "Can I ask about her? Your daughter?"

"If it isn't too personal, then yes."

"Does she like fighting?" He asked.

"Yes of course." I laughed. "Knives are her favorite."

"Not her powers?" He asked. "You said you always used your powers when you were younger since you were an infant even."

"Well, we're teaching her. Loki and I have been working on it with her but she's not very strong with it yet." I answered. I turned to him and grew a flower within my hand. "That is about all I'm able to grow out of nothing, but once I'm near nature I can do much more." I grew a bed of flowers around us. "Freya, however, is still learning. She only recently was able to use her powers and all she's able to do is grow a flower in her hand. I was fearful she wouldn't get her powers."

"Oh, come on. She's your daughter of course she'd have your powers." Bucky replied.

"Well, she may have a lot in common with me but she's not entirely me Bucky."

Bucky and I sat and watched the sunrise. He stopped asking questions since they were getting more personal. After a little time, we heard Freya call out. "Mommy, can I have eggs for breakfast?"

Bucky and I got up and started breakfast.

"Freya, what do you say to Bucky for making us breakfast?" I asked her as Bucky started the dishes.

"Thank you, daddy!" She grinned as I nearly spat my water out.

"Okay well let's get going for training." I quickly said as Bucky and I looked at each other with wide eyes.

"I'll start the car." Bucky said and quickly walked out the door.
