Third Person POV

Wednesday
Wednesday was mildly sunny in contrast to the seventh year students' moods.
"I can't believe this," Marlene exclaimed taking her seat next to Sirius laying her head on his shoulder while he and Remus talked in whispers.

"Only one week in, and we've already got enough homework to crush me." She groaned. "Ugh. I hate homework so very much. I wish I could murder it"

"Me too Marls. Me too" said James slumping on his seat opposite Lily, making a loud thud noise against the wood of the bench.

"Well, maybe if you two spent time doing something other than snogging and tossing a snitch respectively, you'd have time to finish the homework that you're complaining about." Said Lily nonchalantly, eating her cereal.

Remus made an agreeing sound to that as well. Saying "you guys really need to find your way to the school library one of these days."

"Oh, come on moony. Legends aren't made for the boredom of Libraries." Sirius said cheekily munching on his toast. To which he got an eye roll from both Lily and Remus.

And this started their morning on Wednesday.

"The Goblin Rebellions were a series of rebellions in which the goblin population of the wizarding world revolted against discrimination and prejudice toward their kind by wizards and witches. They were most prevalent during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries." Professor Binns spoke as the Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors sat in their seats not even bothering to take their books out.

"The historical rebellions have been described as "bloody and vicious." One rebellion, in 1612, took place in the vicinity of Hogsmeade Village; the Three Broomsticks Inn was used as the wizard headquarters for the rebellion........". He said as the children zoned out on him. His voice was merely a background noise now.

Half the class was asleep by the first 15 minutes. The others were either jabbering with their partners or on the brink of falling asleep.

"Come on Prongs, we have to-"
Lily heard a whisper coming from her newfound friends' table, as she unintentionally listened to their discussion having nothing better to do.

"No. You know I can't"

"But you can. You're just being stub-"

"You don't get it, Pads. I have to be better."

"Look, if this is about what I think this is about, you know she'll come arou-"

"No pads. It's not that. I- I'm head boy and I can't be running around pranking people while telling others not to."

"But-"

"You know it pads. That's hypocrite"

"Please. Pretty please"

"No."

"Ugh. You're so boring"

"Thanks"

Lily could practically feel Sirius throwing a tantrum like a 7-year-old. Which brought a smile to her face. Although that would've been more of James' work than Sirius'. She felt happy that James took his duty as head boy seriously. Although even she must admit that without their usual humour Hogwarts wouldn't be the same.

Lily stifled a yawn as she finally stood up from their block history of magic period.
Indeed it was the most boring class on anyone's timetable. They could really use some change in this particular class.

She hung her backpack and walked out of the classroom heading back to the common room for her free period. Lucky, she thought. She'd very much like to give into the growing urge of her body for sleep.

As she neared the portrait of the two sisters after a long way of stairs, someone put their hand on her shoulder which made her jump and turn around in surprise.

"James!!" She exclaimed. "You scared me. Warn a girl before sneaking up on her will you"

James grinned ruffling his hair. "Now, now Lils. You know no one can lay a finger on my fiery redhead." He said cheekily settling his arm around Lily's shoulders.

"Whatever" she said rolling her eyes at him, trying and failing to shrug his arm off off her, ignoring his use of the word "my" while referring to her. A few months earlier and Lily would not have allowed him to call her Lils let alone use the word my. But now she ignored it.

"So," James said as Lily closed the portrait hole and made her way to the couch where James was currently sitting, his arms spread on it.

Lily lightly put pushed his feet off the couch seat giving him a look of disapproval, sitting where his feet earlier rested.

"I was wondering if you would maybe like to spend some time with me and the guys? The girls already said yes. We were planning on just hanging out."

"Hmm..." Lily said in fake thought. "Well I do have a lot of homework"

"Lily please" James said giving her his adorable puppy eyes.

"I suppose I could find the time in my very very busy schedule for your hangout" she said.
"Great!" James exclaimed. "So how 'bout this Friday?"
"We could. But we have rounds. It'll get late..."

In the end, it was decided that being late didn't matter for they didn't have classes the next day and Friday was finalised as their hang out day.
