okay, so this is the first chapter... and I LOOOOVEE JILY! and now I'm not going to waste your time, so let's get going...

It was the summer before the Marauders' and their peers' last year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Over the past year, Lily had tried to come on friendly terms with the Marauders. Mainly because her best friend, Marlene McKinnon, was dating Sirius Black- the player of Hogwarts and a Marauder.

It came as a surprise for everyone at Hogwarts that these two players were seriously dating- no pun intended- but at the same time, it was thought that they were perfect for each other. A player for player.

Remus Lupin was the only Marauder liked by Lily. Remus and she had become quick friends because they were both plenty agreeable. They often spent time together for prefect duties, study sessions or just random chatting. She enjoyed talking to Remus; he was so thoughtful and wise.

Lily had never known much of Peter. He remained so quiet that he was often forgotten by her. But whatever his nature towards her, he was highly enthusiastic about the ideas of the Marauders.

Sirius Black was another whole level of annoying in himself- always irritating, making useless and pointless jokes, commenting on her relationship with j- Potter, smirking and teasing. Still, he was her Bestie's Boyfriend and a great friend to the Marauders. Thus, even if only half-heartedly, she had refrained herself from transforming him into a fur coat.

The biggest problem of all was none other than James Potter- Quidditch star and captain, prankster extraordinaire, extremely handsome- no wait, Lily wasn't supposed to think that!

Anyway, the thing was that he had ALWAYS asked her out! He had been pestering Lily to go out with him for most of their time at Hogwarts. Though a part of her did seem to notice that the past year hadn't been as bad as the others. James had stopped annoying her. He had kept his distance, not like acting out of character or anything, just not continuously asking her out.

Yet she was always jumpy around him. One way or another her brain found a way to make everything he did annoying. Guess that's just become a habit now?

But anyhow, Lily was now on friendly terms with the Marauders.

The summer had been quite good for everyone so far.

Marlene had been on a trip to Australia with her family and returned with a beautiful tan. It was a perfect holiday for her. She had written letters and sent postcards to all her friends. She told Lily about the cute boys there but also commented that none were as pretty and hot as Sirius.

Alice had spent her time visiting family and friends. But the best part was that she could be around Frank Longbottom- her long time crush and now boyfriend. They both had liked each other for ages but none was confident to ask the other out until last year. They had had the best love life since then.

Remus spent his time at home or travelling around the neighbourhood. He stayed home and read a lot. Anyone who knew him understood that Remus prefered spending time with his parents as much as possible. He didn't want anything extraordinary just to be with his loved ones. It was almost like he didn't hope for anything extraordinary. But all in all, he was more than satisfied.

They hadn't heard much from Peter, but from the occasional letters he sent, they understood that he was spending time with his mum.

James and Sirius were having the time of their lives. Ever since Sirius had moved in with the Potters last summer, they had been unstoppable. Lily didn't know why Sirius would have to move in with James and leave his own family but she didn't much care. They had been seeing the Quidditch matches of the season. They would play pranks on passing muggles and fly on their brooms to see who could go the fastest.
