"UUUGGHH! WHEN'S THAT DAMN PLANE COMING?!" a loudmouthed blue-haired boy named BlackStar yelled out in the middle of Death City Airport. "THEY'RE TAKING WAY TOO LONG!"
His weapon partner, Tsubaki, tried desperately to shush him. "BlackStar, please, everyone's looking," she pleaded.
"Don't worry about them, Tsubaki," he scoffed. "Lord Death gave us the most pointless mission ever: deliver a dog to him. What the hell does that even mean?"
Tsubaki exhaled wearily. "I don't know, BlackStar, but that's why we're here--to find out what he really means by dog."
BlackStar huffed. "Who does he think I am? FedEx? Geez, if he wanted someone to get his new pet for him then he should've at least gotten Soul and Maka to do it," he griped.
"Just hang on for a little while longer. Maybe the dog will be nice," Tsubaki suggested.
"Nothing about this is nice."

"Are we there yet?" Luna asked, slumping in her seat. She still had horrible bed hair from squirming around too much. Kid was dying to fix it, but held himself back.
"Almost," he mumbled, jotting down the last of his notes from last night's discussion.
"Hey, whatcha got there?" Luna asked, leaning over to see his notebook.
"Just a few things you told me to try," Kid replied. "Say, how do you spell Tumblr?"
"T-U-M-B-L-R," Luna recited. "Anyway, listen. This is important."
Kid shut his notebook, using his index finger to keep his place in. "What is it?" he asked.
Luna picked up her sketchbook and started flipping through the pages, finally stopping at a page with a good half of it covered in numbers. "I have been calculating the time the ichor can help hold my body together as I live in the Land of the Living," she explained.
She tapped a small circled number at the bottom of the jumbled number mess. "This here is the amount of time I can live here," Luna added.
"Two months, huh?" Kid clarified. "I get that you can't last long as a dead person in the 'Land of the Living' and whatnot, but why?"
Luna rolled her eyes. "Because I'll disintegrate into stardust and never be revived, even in the depths of Tartarus," she summarized. "I'll be gone forever and ever and ever. My existence will be completely wiped from this universe."
Kid shuddered. "Sounds horrible," he commented.
Luna nodded. "Tell me about it," she agreed.
"Symptoms of my disintegration are decreased health, insomnia, and the upchucking of a silvery substance meant to be the ichor leaking through every orifice of my face," she added. "Also a sudden addiction to coffee. Wine if you aren't already addicted."
Kid cringed. "Can it be stopped in any way?" he asked.
Luna nodded. "Take me home and dump me in the water." Noticing the strange look he gave her, she added, "The river. Dump me in the river back in Moonstone Creek, I
mean.""Oh. Alright," Kid nodded, writing it down as well. "Why do I have to know this, by the way?"
Luna huffed audibly. "Because, death boy, you just made a promise to a heavenly being," she replied. "Heck, you even swore. Break it and you die."
Kid flashed back to when Selene got into his face, her dark brown irises becoming blue. That's right...
"Ladies and gentlemen, we will be arriving at Death City Airport soon," a robotic voice came from the overhead.
