"...498, 499, 500!" Phoebe counted. She got up off of the ground and stretched, sweat dripping down the side of her head. "500 pushups and it's only..."

Phoebe looked to her half-sister expectantly. She was curled up on the bed facing the wall, sulking about getting caught by Thanatos's lackeys.

"Helloooo? Tally?" Phoebe called, using a nickname they used in training.

"What is it, Phoebs?"

"Hellooo! Time?"

Thalia sighed heavily and pulled out her watch. "3:47 in the afternoon," she answered.

"Merci beaucoup," Phoebe grinned.

"De rien," Thalia replied automatically.

Knock knock. "You have a visitor, you two," a gruff voice spoke.

The blue zombie dude, Phoebe thought resentfully, her hands clenching into fists.

"Tell 'em to go away!" Thalia barked.

"Your visitor also added that if you decline their visit, they will contact your father."

"...alright."

Luna shifted uncomfortably in her cushion, a nervous tic in the corner of her mouth.

There she is. In the flesh. My murderous big sister, she thought anxiously.

"Get me outta here," she mouthed to Kid, who sat across from her.

"Can't," he mouthed back, busying himself with folding a silk napkin.

Luna screamed internally and fiddled with a hair tie wrapped around her wrist. Can something terrible just happen for this dinner to end? Luna groaned inwardly.

"So, you two are quite the fun bunch when it comes to fighting. That's something you two have in common," Lord Death's voice interrupted Luna's thoughts. "How's life in the middle of a clash between your clans?"

The table fell silent. Luna wanted to run out of the room and go home. What is he doing? she frowned, clenching her fists.

"Awful," Thalia answered truthfully. "My dad doesn't talk to me as much as before and I guess I'm getting tired of helping out the repair department whenever they attack the city."

Luna twisted her mouth sideways. She'd been known to break satellite dishes and electric poles, making electricity and communication hard for everyone as well as spreading awry currents of electricity everywhere.

That in itself was a lot of damage.

"And you, Luna? Any troubles with this war?" Lord Death asked, turning to the silent Canis.

"U-Uh...well, repairing a small town that's quite a few miles away from a modern setting gets pretty rough. It can get pretty pricy to get new things," Luna spoke.

Thalia felt a small wave of guilt. She had burnt down quite a few buildings, one of them looking like a cozy 24-hour diner she'd definitely eat at. She had to burn that down out of pure command.

"Another common ground! We're progressing here!" Lord Death cheerfully, in a tone almost ignorant of their regretful aura.

"Progressing?" Luna questioned.
