Dana was drawn out of her memories when Naruto jumped out of his bed, fully awake in an instant, screaming:

"Why didn't somebody wake me up?!"

"Hi, little one. Slept well?" Dana said, serene as – almost – always.

She looked at Naruto running all over the bedroom, picking his clothes from the floor and putting them on quickly.

"Where is everybody?!"

"What do you think? You were sleeping so profoundly that Kakashi-san gave us the day off."

"I knew it! They ditched me!"

He just took the time to finish zipping his coat before running out.

"See ya!"

His sister looked at him disappear from her sight and her cool expression became worried. She took off her mask and began cleaning it nervously.

"You can go with them if you want." Tazuna's daughter, Tsunami.

"I don't want to leave you alone with Inari here." Dana answered.

"We are safe here, don't worry. This Zabuza only wants to kill my father, no? Then he'll surely attack him like the first time!"

Dana's big turquoise eyes stared at the other woman without answering and this one almost kicked her out of her house. She was just putting a foot outside when she found herself facing two samurais looking very unpleasant.

"Hey, look Waraji." The thinner one with purple make-up beneath his eyes said. "Isn't that one of the leaf ninjas Tazuna hired?"

"I think it is, yes, Zôru." The more muscled one answered. "Should we kill her?"

"Of course, let's see what those shinobis are made of."

They made a movement to cut the brunette with their sword, but she dodged it easily. Those zeros... She thought, smiling. She appeared behind them and kicked both of them to the ground, pulling them away from the house. At that moment, Naruto got out of the woods and kicked them back. It was little ping-pong match between the two ninjas, before the blond gave the final blow, knocking

out the enemies.

With a nod, Dana ran to the bridge, letting her brother taking care of tying up the samurais and calming Inari and his mother. So he must already be there... I knew it! He footstep broke the bark of the branch she was jumping on to project herself faster and faster from tree to tree.

The mist was thick when she finally made it to the beginning of the bridge, she stopped to listen around. On the far end of the construction, she could hear the battle already began. As silently as she could, thing made easier thanks to the dense fog, she ran to help her teammates – and stop her brother.

The battle noises had stopped when she got close to where everyone was. She made sure the fog hid her as she marked a pause to look at the situation. Tazuna was alone, Kakashi a few steps from him, facing Zabuza, and the three others where around a strange prison of mirrors made of ice. Sakura was outside, Sasuke inside, and the boy who accompanied the rogue ninja between the two them. It was clear it was his jutsu, and, by the look of it, it was powerful enough to defeat the young Uchiha who was on the floor, bleeding from cuts everywhere.

Dana pushed back her cloak to size her sword and was about to jump on the young masked shinobi when a shuriken hit him directly on the face. Naruto ran past her and, with an explosion of smoke bombs, made his entry:

"Naruto Uzumaki is here!"

His sister would have punched him if they weren't in the middle of something quite serious. He tried to use his shadow-clone jutsu but Zabuza threw needle at him, which surprised him so much that he was unable to move. It's the masked ninja from Kiri who stopped his companion's attack.

"Haku, what are you doing?" The rogue ninja asked.

"Let me fight him my own way, please." He said, and the other agreed.

The battle could have turned easily in the leaf ninja's favor, if the blond teenager hadn't decided to go inside the mirror prison, instead of trying to help Sasuke from the outside. Haku attacked them both with his needles, while the Uchiha's attempt of melting the mirrors with his fire all jutsu failed. Zabuza was blocking Kakashi so Dana made her move to help her brother and teammate. Her sword turned into a scythe which cut through the nearest mirror, sending her young enemy flying.

"It's impossible!" She heard her big brother yell. "Haku's technique is unstoppable!"

Angry, the man made the fog intensify so no one can see farther than their feet. There was a running noise and Sakura stopping in front of Tazuna to protect him again. Kakashi made a move to uncover his Sharingan, but Zabuza stopped him. The smell of blood invaded the salty breeze coming from the sea. Dana didn't know if she had to help her little brother or face her big brother already. While she hesitated, she heard someone running again on Tazuna's side. The sound of the rogue ninja sizing his sword took the decision for her. The Blood-Red Reaper, turned back into a bone sword, collided with the Kubikiribōchō with an awful noise. Time froze.

"What the..?"

Sorry for the cliffhanger, but I wanted a full chapter dedicated to Dana and Zabuza reunion!

To make amends, I'll reveal in that next chapter why and since when Kakashi is avoiding Dana when, as you could read on my precedent chapter, they were quite close as teenagers.
