Twilight is not mine only the plot!

EPOV

As soon as we arrived at my house I went to the bedroom to pack all my clothes. I asked Heidi to pack all she could find in the kitchen, while Gigi stayed in the living room with Marcus and Aro. My thoughts drifted to Bella while I was throwing things into my suitcase. Why was she acting so weird? It was like she was mad at me for something. I was so ecstatic when she kissed me, because I thought she had forgiven me.

But now, I just don’t know.

I realized I needed to talk to her when we made it to safety. If this whole experience had taught me anything, it was never to take life for granted.

When I had finished packing, I went to find Heidi in the kitchen. She had a box on the table, full of cans, and one of my duffle bags open with some pots, pans, dishes and silverware inside. She was taking some things from the fridge when she noticed me.

“Hey, Edward, are you hungry? I found bread and ham, I was going to make some sandwiches for all of us.”

“Yeah, thanks. That would be great. As soon you finish with those we’re leaving for Newton’s.” She nodded and began preparing the sandwiches. While she was doing that, I put everything we had packed by the front door and then went back to finish sorting the food. I was packing the last can when she started speaking.

“So, Bella looked pretty mad at you. Care to explain why?” She asked me, with a coy smile. I shook my head and said nothing.

But, she was persistent. “You two have history together, right?”

Still I said nothing to her.

“You don’t have to tell anything, I could see it clearly in her eyes. She was jealous.” That grabbed my attention.

“You think?” I asked her, and she started to laugh at me.

“I knew it!” She screamed and laughed harder. I just shook my head and smiled.

“Let’s go, Veronica Mars.” I grabbed the bag with the food and motioned for her to follow me to the living room.

“Care to share the joke?” Gigi asked, and I shook my head at her.

“Sorry, nothing to tell. We need to go. Do you have everything ready?”

“Actually yes. I used your backpack for Marcus’ stuff. I just hope we can find something for him to wear at the store.”

I nodded at her and then an idea came to me. “If we don’t find anything, we can make clothes for him with my t-shirts. I have a sewing kit that we can use.”
